Mark Kirk to Holder: Tell the truth, has the DOJ been harvesting Congress’s phone records too?
Hotair ^

Via Joel Gehrke, I won’t spoil the surprise of Holder’s answer. I’ll simply amend something that I said last night on Twitter: After this exchange, we may be only two or three more scandals away from this guy’s job being in trouble.

At another point in today’s hearing, he said he won’t resign because there are still lots of “goals” he has as AG — which, given the news of the last few weeks, may be the single most terrifying soundbite to come out of Scandalmania. To cleanse your palate after you watch, read this short but pungent Onion piece that fills the gap between what Hopenchange promised circa 2008 and what it’s amounted to in practice.

I would also throw the “wife beater” type question at Holder.

“Mister Holder, when were you first under the tutelage of Markus Wolf?”

(Markus Wolf was the head of the Ministerium fur Staatsicherheit, a.k.a. Stasi)

" Mark Kirk to Holder: Tell the truth, has the DOJ been harvesting Congress’s phone records too? "

So... does Mark Kirk already know the answer to this question?

It sure could account for a lot of things...

We have an attorney, who is normally sworn to the truth in court, who has been outed as a liar. Not just a liar but a man who has lied under oath and to the Congress of the United States of America. This man is the top attorney of the country. He’s allowed to keep his job.

Mark Kirk to Holder:

"Tell the truth, has the DOJ been harvesting Congress’s phone records too?"

Holder to Mark Kirk:

"No. Just the records of the individual senators and congressmen and their staff employees.
But don't ask me about the records of the justices on the Supreme Court."

It is not being done by Justice Department per se but by their subordinate called FBI. and by NSA for the FBI and IRS, and for the White House political opposition research staff.

He is allowed because he broke into the Pres. Office
in Columbia, AND because he gave weapons to narcoterrorists,
AND because he burnt children alive in WACO,
and because he helps al QAEDA in their WARFARE.
And because he IGNORED warning of the BOSTON ATROCITY.

His violation of the 1st Amendment is frosting on the
cake of his Congressionally-approved Treason.

but protects the corrupt from you -
you know your nation is doomed."

He’s allowed to keep his job.

If he won't resign today, impeach him as fast as you can. He has to go. He is an enemy of America.

I wish Trey Gowdy had been able to ask the question. Holder wouldn't have been able to skate on it like he did.

Not only have they been spying, they have been using the information for threats , intimidation, blackmail and extortion.... and possibly for death threats.

Solution: Give Congress a total transcript of “Eric the Red”’s phone conversations.

Put his a$$ in jail.

Eric Holder could sodomize a boy on the steps of the Capitol and then murder him and the Demonrat Party and fifth-column media would headline the incident as another hideous crime committed by George Bush and the Republican Party... and over half of the voters in the US would believe them.

I’d certainly like to know who, if anyone, was exempted from having their data collected. I’m sure it’s a short list.

I'm offended by this line of questioning.

WHY SHOULD CONGRESS BE TREATED ANY DIFFERENTLY THAN US PEONS?

I have a real problem with congresscritters that only get indignant when THEY are the targets of crap like this, Geez

Why doesn’t the GOP have the guts to impeach this criminal with his corrupt department. He should never have been confirmed.I am done with the spineless GOP.They are as culpable in what Obama has done by their inaction ,and open door to everything this regime has done, with very few exceptions.

"Why doesn’t the GOP have the guts to impeach this criminal"

Because impeaching a Washington DC politician on the basis of clear evidence for impeachment is a dangerous precedent for Congress to set. It might lead to valid calls from citizens for impeaching most members of Congress, the Traitorobama regime, and SCOTUS.

People are forgetting that this government has identified Tea Partiers, gun control advocates and other conservatives as “terrorists”. When we read that the phone spying efforts were aimed at rooting out terrorists and their networks, I do not think that the government thinks that “terrorist” means what we think it means. I think that they wanted to monitor US calling patterns to identify conservatives and their allies.
