Killian tried to morph the problem from “speech” to “assault” as if we don’t know the difference. He tried to change the subject from his comments about mere speech, to violent action.

I'm not a lawyer, but I had some classes about assault and battery because of the need to teach about medical malpractice at medical school.

Speech was enough to make a charge of assault, i.e. just a verbal threat. You have to make physical contact before a charge of battery can be made, i.e. just touching someone during a physical examination. Ergo, speech is assault in legalese mumbo jumbo.

Yeah I know about that stuff.

But this dope isn't talking history. He is saying, at the least inferring, that Muslims have been here in the US - 'America' for centuries. That Muslims were an integral part of our early colonial society.

And that's laughable on its face. They would have been burned at the stake for; Blasphemy, Witchcraft, Heresy, Devil Worship - you name it (weren't too many Jewish folk wandering around 'back then' either).

In Florida in 1572 the Spaniard troops who slaughtered the French Protestant settlers, (Huguenots) may well have consisted of the descendants of “converted” Moslems..

and Moslems inherit their ideology/religion at birth from their fathers...

but other than that lot No there were none in the early colonies...

at least none who helped BUILD...

In 1619 the first black slaves from Africa arrived in VA probably by way of the Caribbean..brought there by the Spanish and brought on to VA by the Dutch or English

Were any of those first slaves Moslem ???

Well their Arab slave traders Obamas ancestors probably were

so if Obama is claiming that the slaves helped build the colonies and the Moslem slave traders were responsible for them being in the colonies in the first place then yes...
