Documents: U.S. intelligence mining data from nine U.S. Internet companies in broad secret program
Washington Post ^ | 6/6/13 | Barton Gellman and Laura Poitras

Posted on 06/06/2013 3:45:54 PM PDT by Red in Blue PA

The National Security Agency and the FBI are tapping directly into the central servers of nine leading U.S. Internet companies, extracting audio, video, photographs, e-mails, documents and connection logs that enable analysts to track a person’s movements and contacts over time.

The highly classified program, code-named PRISM, has not been disclosed publicly before. Its establishment in 2007 and six years of exponential growth took place beneath the surface of a roiling debate over the boundaries of surveillance and privacy. Even late last year, when critics of the foreign intelligence statute argued for changes, the only members of Congress who know about PRISM were bound by oaths of office to hold their tongues.

The names of the members of Congress that knew should be published.

Privacy of World Citizens Wiped Out by USA
Canada Free Press ^ | Friday, May 31, 2013 | Judi McLeod

Posted on Friday, May 31, 2013 9:19:32 AM by Sheapdog

As of yesterday you are a Citizen of the World with no Privacy—no matter in which country you are located.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony invite, sent to a select group of Utah politicians and dignitaries for the massive Utah Data Centre in Bluffdale, Utah was as mysterious as the facility itself. Canada Free Press (CFP) could find no pictures, no accounts of the event anywhere on the Internet today even though an earlier media release said reporters would be there.

The bigger-than-the-CIA National Security Agency (NSA) had previously stated that the facility would start operations in September, 2013.

Why should this event mean anything to you and yours?

“While the NSA has offered no specifics about the Utah Data Center’s operations, a 2012 Wired magazine article, citing former intelligence and NSA officials, said computers at the data center will collect electronic information—from emails to cellphone records to purchasing receipts—from all over the world—, store it and look for threatening patterns.” (emphasis CFP’s).

With the privacy of every man, woman and child on earth now ‘deleted’, as far as is known not one country has moved to litigate against NASA and the largest spy center known to mankind.

The $2-billion, 1.5-million-square-ft. facility on the outskirts of Salt Lake City in Bluffdale will store 1 trillion terabytes of information, a sort of computer that swallowed the world.

Building started back in 2009 when the Obama administration approached MIDA (Military Installation Development Authority) to help build utilities for the Utah Data Center. MIDA created a project area and had the land annexed into Bluffdale. The NSA paid MIDA for all utility construction. (Salt Lake Tribune).

Obama tried to throw the CIA under the bus a few weeks ago over Benghazi, and now the spooks are getting their revenge.

Where was Obama on the night of 09/11/2012?

Get back to me...

...sometime this century.

The government has specific warnings (from the Russians) about the Boston bombers. They did nothing.

If they aren't sufficiently concerned about terrorist bombers to act on information that was handed to them on a silver platter, it's absurd to think that they're sufficiently motivated to build this infrastructure to ferret them out. So... what is it for?

Well seems like the Gestapo-KGB Obamathugs are in full force. I never thought I would live to see the day that the people of this Republic would give away their freedoms and allow communist, Izzlumic murdering thugs, to run our government and rule us. America deserves what we are getting. We earned it. We gave it to them. We allowed this. We lost sight of the goal. The commies ran the schools and indoctrinated our youth and entire groups of kids are brainwashed into believing this commie garbage. America is done. Finished. God has withdrawn His protective hand over this nation because of the evil that this government and people are and have become. Obama is the punishment. What he is doing to the nation is the punishment.

They are more concerned about CONTROLLING the populace than PROTECTING them. The Boston Marathon is Exhibit A in that.

They ignored blunt warnings about the bombers, yet have no problem spying on innocent Americans.

The spy center in Utah can tell where I am at, why don’t we know where ZerO was on 9/11?

Exactly.

I am as conservative as anyone. My first vote in a presidential election was for General Eisenhower.

But the Bush clan is as responsible for the invasion of privacy and Constitutional malfeasance as anyone.

All of this surveillance took a bad turn under them and set the stage for an evil person like obumbler to run wild with it.

George Bush was a good man in many ways, but a conservative he was not.

And I for one am very afraid that Karl Rove will run Jeb Bush on the next election.

All of the Bush family are one worlders.

George bush, every time he opened his mouth, it was UN resolution this or that. He built up the UN. We will some day regret that.

Someday, as obumbler is determined to do, our government will turn over our legal system to the UN and just see what that will get us.

Bush should have told the UN to screw themselves and get the hell out of the US.

Cut the electricity and the water off the UN building and bid them goodbye.

Larry Ellison even looks like the devil.

(no, not the Muslim congressperson, the Oracle CEO who thought all this was a really great idea. So he could sell it to the givernment, of course)
