Liberals hated Bush for signing the Patriot Act. But after Obama signed a renewal of it, they rewarded him by voting him a second term as President.

Here are 185 examples of Barack Obama’s lying, lawbreaking, corruption, cronyism, etc.

11) Supported Bush’s unconstitutional Patriot Act

In May 2011, Obama signed a renewal of the Patriot Act.

Government is the problem

When you have an evil democrat/socialist/statist tyrant like Obama as its head government is a nightmare

Gov has grown too much and is too powerful .government needs to have checks but how do you check a fox with a wolf, 2 areas of gov checking each other?

Capitalism has checks as there are competing interests as in walmart vs workers vs other companies etc., these companies don't have the power to use force us to do anything , the only power they have is to try to influence our choice to buy something with advertising.

NPR’s lying selves said this about Boston bombing brothers. Most of the time I just like shows like RadioLab and stuff, but the Obama propaganda makes sick.

Oh and while libs hated it , many conservatives loved it. I read Freepers day “If you aren’t doing anything wrong why do you care.” The Bushbots were just as mindless as libs.

Yes and many of us were talked down to because we spoke out against it.

Back when Bush signed this Act....

Bush’s Act was for overseas calls only. Obama’s includes local calls.

I am sure not all, but many. And don’t get me wrong, I loved and still love President Bush, but the Patriot Act scared me. Still does.

I'm actually seeing most with a lot of angst over this, since it was one of the biggest sticking point concerning W. Perhaps you are simply making assumptions about the rank and file.

Well of course. Which party do you think has the most criminals? Particularly drug dealer?. This going to cut into their cash supply line if the Feds use the phone records to identify relationships between criminal enterprises and their cohorts...

People can see the forest but not the trees.

Mundane example, but when parents comply with some silly rule that school backpacks must be clear vinyl so that contents are visible, they are playing into the hands of authoritarians. Conditioning is still the most powerful shaper of behavior and attitudes and by the time students graduate they may be rebels in their own minds but are as programmed as an IBM mainframe.

A seat belt law here, a DUI checkpoint there, CCTV, etc.

I note that the only place Obamaites don’t want technology and surveillance is at the polling place.

Great reply.

Of course they don’t want open doors or surveillance in the Out House and state legislatures controlled by the rats.
