Anyone with a 25 watt brain and is honest knows that anyone the GOP throws out there, no matter how moderate, wishy washy, placating, or otherwise RINO-esque, will get utterly trashed and disembowelled by the Goebbels-media. So the best thing is to get a strictly Constitutionalist conservative who is also a FIGHTER and, barring massive voter fraud (which happened), such a candidate would win.

But the GOP would rather lose with nauseatingly principle-less professional non-conservative GOP elites and turn a blind eye to the massive criminal election fraud perpetrated by the leftists. For some odd reason.

“And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family? Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand?... The Organs would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin's thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt! If...if...We didn't love freedom enough. And even more – we had no awareness of the real situation.... We purely and simply deserved everything that happened afterward.”

I find it disheartening that on a thread about the Tea Party, some Freepers and still trying to get conservatives to vote for their liberal because he has an (R) by their name.

Best to let things come to a head, and excise this cancer on the Republic.

Well, the DOJ and the IRS aren't under the jurisdiction of the Execution [OOPS TYPO meant "Executive" but I'll leave it since it is quite accurate actually] branch either, Conscience of a "Conservative".

Wrong. The Department of Justice is an Executive-branch department. The IRS is a bureau of the Department of the Treasury, another Executive-branch department.

Will the Tea Party Patriots be bringing their loaded rifles?

Seriously, I heard a TPM group was planning to mass 1,000 armed riflemen to march on Capitol Hill some time this summer.

If true, this should be very interesting.

If you sat out the last election... You’re just so awesome and principled.

I voted for Romney, I had to choke down some vomit and hold my nose, but I voted for Romney....

Because the alternative was so bad.... No we have the alternative and it is so much worse than i thought it would be...

Anybody who thinks the LEOs will be on the right side when CW II starts is delusional.

OK, that's it. This thread merits a CWII ping!

Oh I agree, I'd love to have a straight conservative fighter be our nominee.

I do have to laugh at those of you who think the GOP is some monolith, it's not. It's a bunch of competing factions trying to win. Unfortunately ours hasn't been on the winning side of this for a long time.

That's OUR fault that we haven't figured this out. Blaming the other so called GOPe for winning is whiny and stupid.

Here is the Link for the ARMED TPM group:

http://www.teaparty.org/group-plans-armed-march-on-washington-23830/

Like I said before, if it comes off as planned the potential for a firefight with police/military would be high.

Think of it,

Say it turns out the permit is not granted and we show up anyway,
then the news says “Tea Party ****** without a permit”...then we get to have the conversation about the permit
BTW-we should clue Ted Cruz in on this
Betchya dollars to donuts he can help...just a hunch

I’d try a flash mob deal on the 18th. You can probably get enough people living in the DC area to show up and cause headaches. Ride in on bicycles, call it “Critical Mass” and they’d probably love you for it.

The GOPe doesn’t know what the term: “Go down fighting” means.

They think it means that you will “cut your own throat” so they avoid it, but really it means to fight and keep fighting and even if you lose a battle or two the courage shown will inspire more to fight and eventually you will win the war.

I find that kind of pitiful, especially since what some of us were warning, THAT THIS ADMIN IS TOTALLY EVIL AND POWER MAD, and now maybe even you understand that's true, you''re just too proud to admit you were wrong.

And how exactly would a Republican president be significantly different? -- First, consider the character of the party-as-a-whole: they did nothing of any impact for Fast & Furious, despite it being (a) an unauthorized act of war, (b) entrapment [to the gun dealers], (c) treason [if the cartels are enemies of the states then the operation provided both material aid and comfort of immunity for the traffickers]; Benghazi was (a) dereliction of duty, (b) possibly murder, (c) possibly a cover-up for a F&ampF style operation in the mid-east; the IRS Scandals are (a) politically motivated, (b) felonies, (c) conspiratorially so — and what is the GOP doing? Is it proposing chopping the tax-code to something like "the income tax will be 10%; no exemptions, no credits, no deductions"? Or is it hoping to villainize the IRS, hoping that they will gain its controls when they come into power?

In short, what is the character of the Republican party?

Specifically, Romney would not be any better than Obama — yes, he might ease some of the overt overreaches, but here is the truth: he would not fight against statism, for he is a statist & he would not fight against socialism, for he is a socialist. -- Some people even here tout the ObamaCare waivers as being suffient to be "better than Obama"; this is foolish, here's why: with a waiver the president could extort any particular State by threatening to rescind the waiver.
