At one time I believed in him as one to finally do something about rogue Catholic pols. But I have lost all confidence in him. Like many "hats" he is no more than a religious politician. That's why many Catholic institutions in NY are paying for contraception and abortion "under protest". Yeah...right.

I hate agreeing with the late Fr. Andrew Greeley, but this is one more in a long line of examples of the progeny of Irish immigrants’ choosing the rat party over Catholicism. As a matter of fact, Greeley’s only error was in failing to recognize the same weakness in Italian immigrants. Not all Irish & Italians, of course, but a significant majority.
