I am a single issue voter - the issue is morality.

Government debt is a moral issue, government overreach is a moral issue, etc.

If I vote for an immoral guy (or gal), they’re going to believe that any bill is one they can compromise on.

Well, 1/2 of $17 trillion in debt is as wrong as $17 trillion, and there’s no such thing as 1/2 an abortion.

1/2 wrong is still wrong. So if you always meet the Democrat 1/2 way on wrong legislation, you’re doing great as a politician seeking reelection, but you’re really stinking morally.

A “compromiser” (what most politicians are) has no principles that are not up for sale.

As long as Republicans can maintain at least a facade of being the “moral” party they’ll have some conservatives voting for them.

But it looks like to me they’re getting close to dropping the facade altogether.

I’m not naive enough to ignore the fact that both parties are simply fronts for their financial masters.

Far too many Republicans are simply playing politics with Democrats like a sport. Republican politicians always tell conservatives that the Republicans NEED to WIN.

They are the ones who don’t really care if they win or lose, because when they get elected they do the same horse-trading, gravy-train, billions of dollars in handouts game as Democrats do. It’s the Republican version, but the Washington, DC machine never really changes at all.

Which means it didn’t really matter who won, American wound up in the same place, just got there by a little different route.

Another interesting figure, Log Cabin's current Executive Director, R. Clark Cooper.

Where to begin...

The face of the leadership of globalism's movement to get American conservatives to accept homosexuality as a legal and normal practice has a resume that exemplifies just how capable the financial oligarchy is at using careful selection and career development to place operatives most anywhere they please in society. The picture below is a link to a 2011 Washington Blade article on the Washington, DC Republican primary.

Excerpt from the above linked wikipedia article on R. Clark Cooper...

"Immediately following graduation from FSU in 1994, Cooper joined the Washington, DC staff of Florida Republican Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen. He then worked with her husband, former U.S. Attorney Dexter W. Lehtinen, as a lobbyist for the Miccosukee Tribe. During these years, Cooper become involved in Republican Party politics and campaigns including serving as a national committeeman for the Young Republicans. After serving in the George W. Bush Administration, Cooper would go back to lobbying for the Miccosukee in 2009.

In 1998, Cooper served as a field coordinator for former Florida Governor Jeb Bush's successful 1998 gubernatorial campaign against Buddy MacKay and was subsequently appointed Deputy Director of the State of Florida's Washington Office. There he was charged with advancing state interests related appropriation requests before the United States Congress and federal agencies. Cooper served on the state's negotiating team for the Comprehensive Everglades Restoration Plan (CERP) alongside Governor Bush, Secretary of Environmental Protection, David Struhs and Everglades Czar, J. Allison DeFoor

During the George W. Bush administration:

In 2001, Cooper joined the ranks of White House appointees as an Assistant Director of National Park Service where he advocated for greater access to public lands and was part of Interior Secretary Gale Norton's efforts to challenge Clinton Administration executive orders restricting use and access of public lands. During the first term of the Bush Administration, Cooper was soon called to active military duty by the Department of Defense. During the second term, Cooper served several diplomatic postings including United States Embassy in Baghdad, where as an advisor to Ambassador Zalmay Khalilzad, often travelled with members of Congress in the Middle East region. His final Department of State posting was at the United States Mission to the United Nations where he served as Counselor for United Nations Management & Reform and as an Alternative Representative to the United Nations Security Council.
...
Cooper was instrumental in securing the necessary Republican votes in the United States Congress to repeal the "Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell" statute banning gays from serving in the military. He advocated the need for open service before the Congress while leveraging the U.S. Supreme Court case of Log Cabin Republicans v. United States. In 2011, social conservatives took issue when Cooper was asked to join the Republican National Committee's finance committee.
...
In March 2012, Cooper became an op-ed columnist for the Washington Times, writing a column called "Politics and Pride," focusing on political issues from a conservative LGBT perspective.
...
In 2013, Cooper was a signatory to an amicus curiae brief submitted to the Supreme Court in support of same-sex marriage during the Hollingsworth v. Perry case."

Cooper is an Eagle Scout, is an Officer of the Venerable Order of St. John, HM Queen Elizabeth II, and is a decorated US Army combat veteran.

Cooper belongs to St. Paul's Episcopal Parish, K Street in Washington, DC.

A multi-generational Freemason, Cooper was made a Master Mason in 1997 at Federal Lodge Number 1, Free and Associated Masons. He attained the 32nd degree of the Scottish Rite in 1998.

Cooper lives in Washington, DC with his Jack Russell Terrier, Zack.

So are Republicans - in truth - for or against the homosexual agenda ? They were against it before they were for it ? They feel very strongly both ways ?

Thanks for the info on Cooper and all of the links/info before that.

Editor's Note: In a recent interview with Big Think, Richard Tafel, founder of the Log Cabin Republicans and The Public Squared gave us his advice for transforming the system: create a super PAC for the people, by the people.

Tafel is quite the con. Advice for transforming the system: create a super PAC for the collective, by the collective. DEMAND money and submission to your collective's narrow, narcissistic proclamations.

Great work, Pieter. Those links are "definitely worth a visit". BTTT!

As I've noted many times, homosexuals are devoted exclusively to one subject ~ so anything they say about anything else is done with that original subject in mind.

Frankly, this guy hasn't done his homework ~ so typical of gays to not bother with facts outside their personal aims...

Great observations.

Just years and years and years of working around them ~ they infest the publishing industry to a degree not appreciated by the outside world.

Good job putting this together, PieterCasparzen. It will be shared.

I did a search on Benenson Strategy Group Kabel referred to. The line I lifted from https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joel_Benenson says,

Joel Benenson (born July 24, 1952) is an American Pollster and Political Strategist, most widely known for his guiding role in Barack Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign.

http://www.mackinac.org/16558 reports:

...Benenson has an extensive political practice, and its clientele appears to be disproportionately made up of Democratic groups and elected officials, along with a handful of foreign governments, labor unions and advocacy groups like America Votes and the Working People’s Party. The Benenson group claims to have served as the main polling and communications consultant for Barack Obama’s presidential campaign in 2008...

Voter Consumer Research appears to specialize in working with republicans and trade groups.

http://www.vcrdc.com/clients.html

His use of Berenson as a source of data in an effort to convince Americans that same sex marriage has sudden and increasing support across the American landscape smacks of fantasy based social mechanics Democrats use so well.
