When Do Americans Get Answers? (RNC boss Reince Priebus)
Real Clear Politics ^ | June 1, 2013 | Reince Priebus

Posted on 06/01/2013 4:13:32 PM PDT by neverdem

Where does the buck stop in the Obama administration? Will anyone take responsibility for the IRS scandal? When will we hear the whole truth? And will the president ever admit to creating a culture of hostility toward conservative groups?

Does President Obama think his endless attacks on conservative groups had no effect on the IRS’s thinking? Did the IRS take years of name calling as a sign that these groups deserved to be harassed? After the president and his allies called the groups “terrorists” and “tea-baggers,” did the IRS think targeting them was what the president wanted? Were they egged on by the letters from Democrat Senators Schumer, Whitehouse, and Baucus calling for the IRS to scrutinize conservative groups?

Doesn’t the administration recognize the IRS could’ve taken cues from people at the top?

If this wasn’t politically motivated, why weren’t liberal groups targeted? Why did the IRS wait until after the 2012 election to admit their actions? Isn’t it interesting that none of President Obama’s supporters were targeted?

Why did the IRS give confidential information about conservative groups to ProPublica—and not liberal groups? And what other records were released???

--snip--

How do we know this won’t happen again? Can we really trust the IRS to implement Obamacare? Is this bureaucracy competent enough to apply the law fairly and even-handedly? Will the agency that played politics with our taxes play politics with our healthcare? Should Americans feel confident that their health records won’t be released? Can we rest assured that the IRS won’t use their new powers to push a political agenda? Will President Obama bother to address this concern?

Why have these questions gone unanswered? Why can’t we get the facts? Is this really the “most transparent administration in history”?

Priebus is the chairman of the Republican National Committee.

If Preibus thinks they took it upon themselves to illegally target conservative groups than he’s even dumber than I thought.

The orders came from the white house. It’s very obvious to anyone who can connect some dots.

When, Priebus?

When the GOP grows a backbone and starts making some real noise about all these scandals.

The Republicans sat on the Benghazi scandal for months.

The Republicans sat on the IRS scandal for months.

When, Priebus? When the Republicans get off their duffs and start making noise, call for investigations, appoint special prosecutors, subpoena WH and departmental personnel, have principals testify UNDER OATH, etc.

There might be some momentum building now that some liberals in the press got their tits pinched (DOJ). Also the awareness that an agency that targets your opponents can also target you(IRS). The lying State Dept. and the absent, uninterested, and unengaged president is attracting attention as well.

When, Priebus? How about when there is real opposition to the policies of the left, instead of appeasement and compromise....

The orders came from the white house. It’s very obvious to anyone who can connect some dots.

There is a Latin phrase--"cui bono" which means, "who benefits." We've seen the concept played out on a million cop shows. Someone is murdered. Is there an insurance beneficiary? Does the death help a business rival, or perhaps a rival for a lover's attention? So, who benefits from the IRS's targeting of conservatives in the runup to the 2012 election?

Who castrates these guys?

My guess is that it's the cloud of political consultants within the beltway. Those guys make money on how much is spent, not who wins. Hence, they want big donors, the corporate money given to both sides, to whom obeisance is expected.

Why have these questions gone unanswered?

Because no one from your party has asked them in a forum or manner that will get results, Reince.

For the first time in over 20,000 posts on this site, I'm saying it. See my tagline.

The answer to all these weak questions is a resounding "No - unless citizens and political leaders alike use the powers left to them by their own Constitution to reject the open threats to their individual freedom that are being visited upon them by those who are "transforming" America.

To the RNC and its Chairman:

It is time to embrace the principles and ideas expressed in the Declaration of Independence and structured into a form of "We, the People" self government, as advocated by those millions of America who are part of the so-called Taxed Enough Already movement! They are what JFK called the "watchmen on the walls" of freedom, and if the RNC wishes to go down in history on the side of liberty, then it would do well to ignore the "establishment" wing of the Party who have participated in compromising away the great principles of liberty, and join the movement to restore the foundations of that liberty enshrined in the Declaration of Independence and Constitution.

So, uuuhhhhh, when is Daryl Issa, the Big Bad Wolf who huffed and puffed and blew nothing down, going to get around to calling MizzzzzzzzzZZZzz Lerner back before his committee of whatever?

Why has even a single day been allowed to pass without people being arrested for abuse of power?

Wow... I didn't realize anyone was the "boss" of the RNC. Heck, I also thought the RNC went out of business long ago.

I guess it's wonderful that he makes a statement once every few months... just to let us know he's still alive.

I personally don’t care for Priebus. Wussy. Cojonesless.

But he does ask some good questions. The problem is that the Dems are laughing at him.

We need a Conservative that will take it to nobama and drive hard to get answers.

Absolutely spot on! It's like all of Washington, both Rs and Ds AND the media are playing dumb with this so as to protect this worthless, half black Kenyan.

They're going to really regret doing this to America some day but by then it will be way too late.

This column shows why conservative talk radio is so popular.

Talk radio is just that — talk. And more talk. It’s an echo-chamber, with hosts and callers saying fiery things that pissed-off people want to hear. And tomorrow there will be more talk.

The time for talk is over. Priebus’ questions — every one of them — are good questions that deserve hard answers, right now.

The time for action is NOW, even if that action is just to remember the names of those who don’t do a DAMN thing about these problems, so we can take action at election time.

Yeah. This is exactly what you’re gonna get from the Priebster. Functionality = zero. Hand wringing, wailing, “woe is me, if only Jeb Bush was in charge.”

ESAD, RNC.

Are you saying that the politicians, consultants, and the media are all self-interested? Couldn’t be with so many needy Americans out there! And the needy believe in the status quo, even if they don’t know the term.
