Several people were injured on Tuesday in two cross-border rocket attacks in the northeastern town of Hermel, the state-run National News Agency reported. A total of seven rockets landed in Hermel and its outskirts a day after a girl was killed in a similar incident.
In the first attack, two rockets hit the Hermel area. "One of them hit a residential neighborhood in the center of the town while the other hit the hills facing the town," NNA said. Later, the agency said a third rocket hit the Hermel region, leaving several people lightly wounded.
At 4:15 p.m., two more rockets hit the region. One hit a house and wounded three people, and the second landed in a neighboring grove. "Fifteen minutes later, two other rockets landed in the area, causing no injuries," NNA said.
On Monday, Loulou Awwad, 17, died and another woman from the same family was wounded by rockets that targeted residential neighborhoods in Hermel. The rockets also caused major material damage, NNA said.
The area lies just across from the Syrian town of al-Qusayr where regime troops backed by Hizbullah fighters have been engaged in heavy clashes with rebels seeking to topple Syrian President Bashar Assad. ..... Video

Is it wrong to hope that Hezbollah and Al Qaeda in Syria maximize their mutual bloodlust on each other?
(Excepting the innocent civilians, of course....)
No. That’s optimism.
There are nice refugee camps waiting for them in Turkey, under jurisdiction of UNHCR, not UNRWA, I hope.
somehow the Muslim people will have to have a Reformation and reject all the hatred and murderous violence preached in their religion
someday
someday
may the real God grant us this wish
Muslims killing muslims. Nothing bad can come of this.
You have made a large fallacious assumption. You have assumed the Syrians in rebellion are AQ. They are not. There may be a few in the mix but not the majority.
As to Islam fighting Islam, consider our civil war. Christians fighting Christians. Politics and money are the primary considerations in Syria as well

The Syrians in rebellion are going to find themselves mastered by Muslim Brotherhood / Al Qaeda / Sunni Caliphate types. Pick your description of their poison.
Alawites (plus Christians) supported by Shia Iran and Shia Hezbollah fighting Sunni rebels, Sunni Qatar and Saudi, makes it pretty much a Shia / Sunni battle by surrogates. There may also be economic prizes, but I think Syria is both a civil war and a sectarian war by proxy between Iran and Saudi (et al.)
You mean, they’ll all convert to Scientology and pay lots of oil money to become “clears”? That’d be ok, relatively speaking.
There’s also the fact that religion was only periferally involved in the American civil war. Song goes, “Jesus died to make men holy, let us live to make them free.” Lincoln said, among other things, that he did not believe he had G-d on his side, but prayed humbly that he be on G-d’s side. As for the slavery issue, while some did view it as a religious crusade, when Abe signed the Emancipation Proclamation, he lost Congress in the mid-terms. This, however, is a religious sectarian war. They hate each other even more than they hate Jews or Christians. Any economic considerations come after that.
scientology would sure be a million times better than the krapo thing they got for themselves now
their socalled holy book does contain passages about peace, respect for Christians and Jews, and helping the Jews when they eventually return to the Jewish Homeland, etc.
But from how I am given to understand it, their preachers have decided to teach and preach other passages... which teach hostility and murder against Christians and Jews and other infidels.
yes, they got both but their leaders teach them only one side of what they got.
so the entire world is thrown into chaos
Can’t figure out who to root for; so I guess I’ll just root for casualties.
They'll probably name an award after her. Hmmmmm. Wonder what they'll call it.
“....reject all the hatred and murderous violence preached in their religion.”
.
If they did they would not be muslims.
understood.
but their writings really do contain a basis for a positive Reformation ... to a peaceful religion respecting the rights of all of God’s creatures ....
the verses are definitely in there, if they would only choose to follow them instead of all the hate-filled murderous krap
in other parts of their writings
we can hope, anyway.... someday.....someday....
(meanwhile we have to defend ourselves and we must not give them one inch more anywhere ... they’ve killed and attacked and murdered their way too far already!)
It’s really islam that is in chaos, that chaos stems directly from their book, in the beginning mohammad expected the tribes all to follow him, and while he thought they would follow his cult, he was pleasant. That didn’t last long. As soon as he realized his preaching wasn’t working, he began to use force. There’s no chronolgy in the book, so the imam can read ‘verses’ from it according to his mood. He can stir them up to kill any time he wants to, and then read you a passive verse about charity. The result is chizophrenic.

you need to read the biography written by Edward, Canon Sell, first published in 1913.
There’s no way islam can leave anything out of the book and still worship their ‘prophet’. The only way to reform islam would be to remove mohammad.
And then, what is left, would be what he plagiarized from the Original Testament of the Hebrews and from the New Testament, and there would be no islam at all.
That, I would welcome.
Thanks Eleutheria5.
the problem (as i understand it) is...
that they decided to give greater weight, to favor the later of any two conflicting passages or verses.
and when you look at Mo’s life, he started out nice and friendly and peaceable.... but later turned into a murdering, conquering sort of warrior.
so...
while there ARE some very nice-sounding passages in their book, these passages are often attributed to Mo’s early years and then over-ruled or supplanted by other “later in time” passages ... which are usually the violent ones.
as I understand it, anyway.
so... the islamics and the whole world are thus thrust into bloody chaos, all around the globe in fact....
if only they could have a Reformation and change how they do this, how they decide which of conflicting passages to follow. Following the later ones is not irrational but it sure does screw up Planet Earth and Christians and Jews and Hindus and Buddhists and everybody else on Planet Earth.
They really do need a Reformation!
