I am sad about this.....Michele is a fine woman. Have heard her speak on two separate occasions, and she is a very classy lady.

I’m sad too. That is the trouble with principles - you only have them if you stick to them. I’m not sure, but I imagine she is the type that rails against the cronies in government that hold their seats forever, and end up just becoming the recipients of pork bills, rather than getting anything done or changed. I hope that she is setting her sights on bigger things.

Bummer....she was strong on conservative values and leadership

I hope the RINO liberal non-leadership did not push her

Aww damn... Conservatives will lose a strong, reliable voice in Congress. She’s in a tough spot, defending her seat in an already leftist state that’s lurching even further leftward by the day.

Minnesota doesn’t deserve her.

She was treated shabbily. I don’t blame her one bit. Maybe she will run for senator from another state, but I doubt it. That doesn’t seem like her. Godspeed, Congresswoman Bachmann.

Thanks GOPe for not financially supporting Bachmann after saying you would on Mark Levin’s show.

This is sad news. Bachmann tried to derail Obamacare and the GOP leadership were stumbling to follow.

Boy does this suck! Not only will we lose this seat but we lose an incredible conservative. Hopefully she will prepare for a presidential run for 2016.

I heard this about 2 weeks ago from a Tea Party member in Iowa that she was going to leave. He said that the GOP has told the congressional members that they will no longer fight Obamacare claiming now “it's the law of the land, like it or not” nor investigate the IRS other than a few dog and pony show hearings. Their plan is to just run on them as issues.
They could just not fund the IRS for implementation of Obamacare. They could also subpoena everyone in the Cincinnati office if they wanted to.

Yes. This stinks. Even though she says this had nothing to do with Iowa hacks, I think it did.

“The aide, Peter Waldron...”

That’s what she gets for hiring a gay guy. Well, actually, I don’t know if he’s gay, but all of the Republican pollsters seem to be gay now, so it wouldn’t surprise me if he doesn’t have a wife and kids.

Well, this sucks. Michelle and Sarah now both on the outside.

But at least we have Murkowski!

Stupid move and I suspect ulterior motive. There aren’t any term limits in the Constitution for a reason. For a Federal Rep to step down is ludicrous. They exist to be the people’s tripwire and all this does is embolden the bureaucracy.

Fat chance Americans will have to limit the terms of the congressrats to two two year terms.

As far as the Senate is concerned, the selection process needs to revert to senators being selected by their respective state legislatures for two four year terms.

"if presidents can only serve eight years that length of time is sufficient for her to serve in Congress"

Very classy indeed. I wish, however, that she would not be the one to try to start such a trend with term limits. Why can't it be people like McCain instead?

Hopefully she will change her mind but I respect her decision as much as I wish it was not true.

Rep. Bachmann understands the problem of Obamanation.

Ponder this old bromide:
“When everyone around you are losing their heads and you are not, perhaps it is because you do not understand the problem.”

Now revisit, (in thought), the problem awareness of Bachmann and Boehner.

Nobody is more comfortable co-existing with Obamanation than ol’ Blue Eyes Boehner.

Yup, the sorry, clueless, RINOs in The House have put their trust in laid back Boehner, while Bachmann gets ready to be nominated as Allen West’s Veep in 2016, IMHO.

When she ran for president she attacked Palin and helped Romney win the primary with that Newt-Romney-Newt-Romney garbage and by blocking any criticism of Romney in the debates. She was a disappointment.
