I seem to recall that my distant relatives were held in captivity by “Black” Egyptians for over 400 years and it took a far number of “Acts of God” instead of an act of a nation to set them free. So where's my reparations and free money?

A very gracious God said He would deal with the problem, and did... proud Egyptians really took a killing and a bath... but it hasn’t been until modern times that Jews and Egyptians have gotten into serious wrangles since that exodus. Egypt was as friendly a neighbor with Palestine around the time of the birth of Jesus of Nazareth, as Canada is with the USA. When Mary and Joseph were alerted they needed to get away from a mad, murderous, jealous (and irreligious) Herod, they just ducked with little Jesus into Egypt till Herod passed from the scene.

(Whatever promise that God has made, in Jesus it is yes. See my page.)
