I already told you, you should spend whatever you feel you need, in order to not eat GMO.

Yeah, I’m sure there were more ridiculous, unproven claims, in your articles that I left off.

All a GMO is an advanced way to breed a hybrid. Just because a person is scientifically stupid is no reason to protest a company going about its legal business.

No kidding. If these clowns want to only eat plants that humans have not modified over the last 10,000 years, they'll be reduced to grinding acorns into flour.

OMG! This has been happening since the first animal ate its first meal.

And yet, we're still here.

I am not a Monsanto fan but one could argue that they have saved countless lives.

Yes, I agree. Our family has made a studied choice to avoid GMO whenever we can. It is more expensive, no doubt, but we think it's worth it. It would be a lot easier if GMO foods were labeled as such.

Of course organic foods are labeled, and they're non-GMO by definition, but it's getting harder to know which foods contain GM ingredients.

I agree with similar sentiments posted: Just because a hippy doesn't like it... doesn't mean it's good.

You're right. Just because unscientific left-wing idiots base their decisions on their feelings, doesn't mean your unscientific feelings are wrong.

Are you intentionally being obtuse or are you a Monsanto propogandist?

You’ve asked for specifics, then when FReepers have provided documentation, you just lob ridiculous platitudes about “feelings” and smart-ass comments that ignore the facts. I’m shocked you identify yourself as a patriot on a conservative forum. At the minimum, Monsanto has engaged in crony capitalism, and that should earn them the wrath & fury of every free-market conservative in the U.S.

Ask yourself why Monsanto, along with other producers of GM crops & foods, have spent literally millions to block leglislation that would require the labeling of GMO products? What do they have to hide? Why are they so unopposed to a free market?

That’s just scratching the surface. Their crops have ill health effects for humans & animals, and they’ve bullied many small family farms out of business, not to mention speculation that the death of bees may be a direct result of these crops.

Yet you sit here defending of a company that has yet to provide any answers to these very legitimate questions, mocking FReepers who just want answers and calling them stupid. Unbelieveable.

You are perhaps the least informed person to ever post on FR and arguably the most obnoxious.

Hybrids are a result of cross breeding, much like a donkey breed with a horse results in a mule which can not reproduce.

GMOs are in an entirely different category. Genes deemed beneficial are implanted into the DNA of a some seed. For example the gene that triggers production of say nicotine is introduced into say corn as a natural insecticide. Sounds good, but whoever eats the corn is also eating nicotine. Since nobody knows exactly what genes are being introduced into the DNA of our foods I used nicotine as an fictional example to illustrate the process.

What we do know is mass die offs are occurring, bees, birds, etc. And there seems to be good evidence that GMOs are at least part of the reason.

I think a bit of caution might be justified here. Certainly I have a right to know what I am easting and GMO foods should be labeled as such.

Yes, I saw several cases of silly claims.

At the minimum, Monsanto has engaged in crony capitalism,

Absolutely. Therefore, uninformed liberal claims about poisonous food must be true.

Their crops have ill health effects for humans & animals,

Really?

mocking FReepers who just want answers and calling them stupid.

Yes, I mock unscientific idiocy. I'm just shocked to see it coming from conservatives.
