Here in NJ we’d have to close schools, lay off gubmint workers, and dismantle housing to reflect the demographic reality that they aren’t necessary anymore. I have no problem with that, but I’m not holding my breath - it will never happen. Too many people are vested in the gubmint workfare program to ever let this happen; watch the reaction to Gov. Christie as he trims back our government here.
