There’s the rub, Norm.
The reason “enforcement” isn’t a sine qua non here (’without which, nothing else’) has become apparent.
They don’t have any intentions of securing our southwestern border.
Period.

Rand Paul supports Amnesty. He wants an Amnesty bill
But he doesn't support Senator Rubio's bill.

Even someone that's sympathetic to the cause can't swallow the poison pills in this legislative monstrosity. Which demonstrates how flawed it is.

And the truth of that is when you notice not one GOP toadie has brought up the shell game they ran on Reagan in the 80s.

They are running it again. Almost verbatim. And we hear silence.

But it's interesting how he managed to change his immigration stripes to get elected.

The day of or the day after Rubio was elected, he spoke to supporters. During that speech he said a line or two about illegal immigrants (he didn't call them that) that made my jar drop.

I clearly knew at that moment he duped the Tea Party supporters.

I got heat for calling Rubio a fraud early on, but time has shown him to be anti-Conservative.

I need to go back and find the youtube and search for the revealing statements.

Rubio should never get another Conservative's vote.

Rand Paul isnt in a rush to pass it immediately. The gang wants it passed soon.

The whole point is to push this amnesty into next year or further. Rand Paul will start getting abuse from La Raza for not immediately forcing through an amnesty.

It is a bad move politically for Paul. Paul can only win the nomination with the Pat Buchanan wing of the party.

If it was really about the hispanic vote they would pass it in 2015 before Rand Paul runs for president. By then the shock of the Obama victory will be gone. Amnesty wont be as popular when you are trying to win PA against a white Democrat and low Phillie turnout. He needs people like Barletta who outperformed the national GOP in his district in 2008.

Rand Paul could only get a small number of Senators to support his budget which was a good idea. He wont have as much sway on the immigration issue when he only has hispandering to rely on.

Marco Rubio, another in the line of “saviors” that Freepers initially thought was the cat’s meow.

Rubio is toast. Dried up brittle stale toast. He has betrayed the Conservative cause and may as well spend the rest of his useless political life sucking Juan McCains’s toes.

Did you not notice that Rand is on board with Rubio on immigration reform?

I'm watching. I'm hoping. "Time being" is the qualifier.

ol’ Hannity is still carrying the torch for him

Not surprised. Hannity's dumb as a box of rocks, IMO.

I saw a Rubio 2016 bumper sticker today. In front of a dollar store. Maybe he was doing some shopping. LOL.

Rubio should go back to Cuba where he came from, and let a real conservative have his seat.

Yep. Good ole Hannity. Great American. Loves to have the enemies of the republic on his show at every opportunity.

I swear, I don't get that man at all.

Hannity is giving him major airtime tonight to “explain” his amnesty.

Good ole Hannity. Did he ask Rubio even one tough question? Did he tell him to his face that this bill is nothing more than a naked amnesty?

Let me guess....

Rubio lied to the Tea Party to get elected then tossed us aside. Paul is for amnesty. Cruz is the only good guy out of the noobs.

Watching it now. Rubio claimed that illegals under his plan will have to come back on 5 years and reapply - if they have no jobs they won't receive new green cards. Was waiting for Sean to ask Marco, "what happens if during the last 5 years, the illegals decide to create 3 new, real American citizen minors . . . children who will be entitled on their own to certain specific government support programs. Marco, will you be sending the parents home and keep their American child here? Or will we be supporting this family as normal Americans suspect?"

Was waiting for Sean to ask Marco, "what happens if..."

Let me guess. Sean never asked that question, did he?

But I'm sure he let Rubio ramble on and on, selling his wonderful plan to the American people.

Senator Paul is in favor of some type of immigration reform but he jumped off this bandwagon a while ago.

Now that he has heard from his constituents his opinion is as flexible as Rubio's was after he got elected.

Rubio was born in the USA. His parents came from Cuba.

Is there any possible Florida candidate who could give Rubio a run for his money? I would love to see Rubio get a good swift kick in the pants for thinking that we were so gullible that we would accept his double cross.
