LONDON (AP) - Britain is bracing for clashes with right-wing extremists and possible copycat terror attacks after the brutal slaying of a young soldier. London's Metropolitan Police said more than 1,000 officers will be sent to potential trouble spots with armed response units. Only a fraction of Britain's police officers are armed.

In Britain this involves hiding in the closet pissing themselves and condemning yanks for their violent gun culture. Kind of like new yorkers, but rather than condemning yanks, with new yorkers it involves condemning those unsophisticated bitter clingers in fly over country.

UK has never faced a threat like this, they’re not fighting an external enemy, they’re fighting internal ones, not only moslems, but the government itself.
We “bitter clinger Yank violent culture cowboys” have our guns. No ifs, ands or buts.
The Brits can look down their noses at us all they want. But they know about the 2nd Amendment & envy us, the muzzies know about it and hate us.
Bottom line: Muzzies in America are far less likely to act out than muzzies in UK. There are no Anjem Choudary bullhorn shouters here, none. Jihadi murderers like those who struck in London are too likely to die in a hail of citizens’ bullets if they tried that here.
For muzzies, there are far too many of us armed “infidels” here. Too many guns loaded with bullets dipped in pig grease. Too many crosses and too many Bibles. Too many Americans willing to ask their Muslim acquaintances (not friends, Koran forbids) the following:
“Do you as a Muslim advocate Shariah law for America? Yes or no?”
Be much harder on the extremists than we have been. Shut down the preachers of hate. Jail them. Deport them.
BTW, I never said Choudray never had a following, I said, and it remains true, that he has (thankfully) a small following. Sadly that small following seems to be as vile as he is.
True, but then I could say the same about the 1941 generation in your country. Or the 1939 generation in Canada, Australia, NZ....the west as whole is not what it was and should be.
We dealt with an internal threat from 1916 to 1998, remember. One which still exists today in fact.

That’s true, but it’s still not the same.
The IRA had people in the British-Irish community, and on the left, helping them in the UK. We had politicians either being ineffective at dealing with or openly condoning the IRA.
I’d say there are at least some similarities.
