Israelis sense of security prevents them from feeling sufficient urgency to resume peace talks with the Palestinians, US Secretary of State John Kerry said in Jerusalem Thursday, warning of fast-approaching challenges that required a change of approach for the Jewish State.
I think there is an opportunity [for peace], but for many reasons its not on the tips of everyones tongue, Kerry told reporters before entering a meeting with President Shimon Peres. People in Israel arent waking up every day and wondering if tomorrow there will be peace because there is a sense of security and a sense of accomplishment and of prosperity.
However, the chief US diplomat warned that the situation might not stay as stable.
Over the horizon
one can see the challenges that make it important to resolve this at this moment, when there is a willingness for people to look for a way to achieve an agreement, Kerry said.

The list, Ping
Let me know if you would like to be on or off the ping list
“Nice country ya got dere. Be a shame if somethin’ happened to it.”
The Israeli realize, as do most Americans, that there is no possible peace with Islam dominated countries such as Palestine because they refuse to recognize Israel’s right to exist. There is no negotiating with such an evil principle. Israel’s existence is only possible with a strong defense and economy - which they have.
Only a dumb liberal like Kerry would see prosperity as a bad thing.
But I'm sure Kerry has a plan to turn this situation around.
True to form, the Left always sees prosperity as THE problem.
Interesting statement from the Lurch. Isn’t he like deep red in ketchup prosperity? Courtesy Mama K via the Heinz Company fortune? The tall dufus has a lifetime lucky star but with an expiration date. Dont mess with Gen 12:3 Lurchy boy if you want to keep it.
“Sounds like a threat, John.”
Doesn’t it!
Sounds like the Obama thugocracy is suggesting that in order to get Israel to do what “we” want them to (and act against their best interests), “we” might have to make some adjustments to their “sense of security and...of accomplishment and of prosperity.
Kerry advocates increased terrorism in Israel.
On the wrong side of peace for Decades.
Kerry doesn't see prosperity as a bad thing (he's got hundreds of millions after all), he just sees other people's prosperity as a bad thing.
CatsupBoy can’t comprehend the reality he faces. When Israel really feels threatened, they will destroy those they see as a threat.
CatsupBoy has a reading comprehension problem, heretofore concealed from public awareness. He can’t understand “Never Again!” not the equally germane “Operation Sampson”.
It sounds like Kerry is in favor of doing something to destroy that prosperity.
This is a veiled threat. Not so veiled.
Made by a coward traitor to his own country—America.
Another faithful Catholic, who apparently hasn’t read the Bible and what God tells us about Israel.
John Kerry is full of Satan apparently.
Or could be, Johnny boy, that they’ve been lied to so many times and the ball is still in Palestine’s court. It takes two to tango. Israel has done their part time and time again and now it’s the other guy’s time.
My beautiful Wife, the lovely-and-talented Mata-Sherry,bought me a new Faucet for the laundry-room sink.
She said: “It looked good in the package, but I think it might be Plastic”!
WELL, after 50 years in the plastics business (35 years at HERE), I confirmed her analysis, and told her that it was indeed molded plastic, of the highest quality, not unlike the stuff that we do for a living. And it was Chrome-plated too.
Then I looked at the label, and it said: “Made in Israel”.
Then I wondered - ‘What if I re-located my Company to Israel?’
Everybody’s armed, and we already tried Arkansas ...
