It seems like only yesterday that IRS Director of Exempt Organizations Lois Lerner was claiming she knew nothing about the dastardly work of those shadowy "low-level employees in the Cincinnati office" - who somehow remain shadowy to this day, despite having been blamed for the worst abuse-of-power scandal in living memory. The Incompetence Defense beloved of this administration, and so effective with a media that would never accept it from a Republican official, was deployed with gusto. Lerner was shocked, shocked, to discover gambling against Tea Party groups going on at Rick's Tax Exempt Organizations Cafe American.
But now National Review has uncovered documentation proving Lerner was up to her neck in the operation, over nine months after she claims she learned about it:

Bauer is returning to New York University Law School this spring to teach a seminar on political reform.
The course will encompass campaign finance, lobbying laws, voting rights and more—topics Mr. Bauer has had ample exposure to during his 30 years of practice as a lawyer, which include stints working for political campaigns and the Democratic National Committee.

During his time on the campaign trail, Mr. Bauer led challenges to new voter laws backed by Republicans—including suing the state of Ohio in July—and lobbied the Federal Election Commission to allow individuals to text in donations (as did his Romney counterpart). Mr. Bauer also sought to compel the well-funded Republican advocacy group Crossroads GPS to disclose the names of its donors, citing millions of dollars the group has spent on campaign ads attacking Democrats.
This is the guy who pulled the chains with the IRS on behalf of the White House.
Not so sure they can sue her civilly, personally vs. in her official role @ IRS. In that case, it’d be govt attorneys representing her and she’s out nothing. A criminal prosecution is another matter and THIS DOJ won’t go there.
Betcha she has “secrets” she’s saving for her “get out of jail card”....either that or she better stay away from Fort Marcy or airplanes

Tampering with the political process used to be a crime and also par for the course, now it is a commonday occurrence for many on the Left.

WASHINGTON, May 21, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ — The Presidential Commission on Election Administration was officially launched today, following President Barack Obama ‘s State of the Union pledge to identify non-partisan ways to shorten lines at polling places, promote the efficient conduct of elections, and provide better access to the polls for all voters.
The 10-member Commission will submit a final report to the President within six months of its first public meeting, which is expected to be held in Washington in June.
