“Secondly, I am not going to get into endless discussions about the UK police and arms. If Americans dont like it or dont feel safe about it, dont come here. Sorry to be blunt.”
No accounting for stupidity. It’s been my experience that most Brits don’t like the USA anyhow, so no skin off my nose. It’s only when you need a country with guns (WWI and WWII) that you cozy up to us. Must have something to do with that 1776 thingy, lol.
Thank you for protecting us.
I like America, I like Americans, wouldnt be here otherwise. I have lived in your lovely country (2004-05) and wish to return. Most British do like America (ignore the vocal minority that dont).
Ill ignore the tiresome reference to WW1/2.
I am sick of the bashing Britain is getting here today. On what is supposed to be an Anglophile site. Sneering at our police, our armed police, the British people. Our laws, our way of life. All this whilst a British soldier lies hacked to death in my country.
Frankly, I am not in the bloody mood for sneering Americans today.
If I was even half as unpleasant after 9-11 or Boston, I would be a vile snobby little Brit, and rightly called so.
So, yes, I am being blunt.
If people in the US dont like the way the UK does things, dont come.
I think I misunderstood your post. So pardon me.
I have never had a desire to travel to England and frankly do not understand the fascination of some Americans with having Brits on our news casts.
In all fairness, they already the Canadians in WWI and the war was in hand before the Americans joined up. Obviously those were the days when the UK still had plenty of real men. Guys like the scotsman are rarer and rarer nowadays it would seem, and not just in the UK, here and in the US as well. We have a global shortage of real men. It`s up to us to stand up for our rights, and teach our kids about their rights.
