I’m an Eagle Scout, a current leader in a troop (Assistant Scoutmaster), and my son is a Star scout. On Tuesday, we will be no longer be members of the Boy Scouts of America because of this policy change. This is longer no the organization we originally joined.
The context of “Scout” becomes ominous.
This is incredibly disappointing to our family. Our oldest is on the track to be an Eagle Scout by the end of the year or early next year. He LOVES Scouts. He has learned so many incredible skills and has been able to try so many new things that he would otherwise not have done. My heart breaks for him because our Catholic homeschool Scout troop is most likely not going to continue.
I’m so tired of hearing gay this and gay that on a daily basis.
it will lose the decent families and become a bastion for the deviant recruiters.
sad sad sad.
A tragedy made from efette egos.
They will not get another penny from this former Life Scout and Father of an Eagle Scout.
I was proud to be a Scouter, and to be an assistant scoutmaster and scoutmaster, but the BSA is now officially dead to me.
They will get some money from the homos for a while, but I predict that they will wither on the vine and be essentially gone in ten years.
A Black Day in America!
The leader ban is now meaningless; they’ll tell a scout at 18 “Sorry, you can’t be a leader now.”? Riiiiiiiiight.
All non-WCC denominations should flee from BSA, and eliminate any Religious Emblems of theirs from BSA shelves. (WCC denominations likely welcome BSA’s decision.)
BSA will now revise the Scout Oath and Scout Law.
There will now be a Rainbow Nerit Badge.
RIP BSA.
[sample email to local troop leaders and other parents]
[First name, Last Name] will continue to participate as allowed in activities with the local troop and other boys, but we will no longer fund or recognize the national BSA organization. We’ll support local activities, and [first name] will continue to do activities related to merit badges and ranks, as permitted by the local troop, but [first name] is no longer affiliated with the national BSA.
Unlike the BSA National Council, [first name] does continue to uphold the Scout Oath and Scout Law.
With this policy a Scout must choose between being true to the Scout Oath and Law as they are intended, or remain in Scouting. We choose the Oath and Law.
Soon to be former Scoutmaster

This is great news. Nearly all Scout Troops are part of a church group. Once a boy comes out, he can be helped through and back to normalcy.
If they are victims of abuse, that too can be stopped and redirected toward normal manhood.
Looks as if they will become the Brown Shirts of yesteryear!
Death knell for the BSA!
How tragic. Youngsters who tell others that they’re practicing homosexuals have had their ticket punched for a one-way ticket to hell.
Parents of such youth are responsible for allowing their children to toy with thoughts and actions of a homosexual.
These children have been allowed to become emotionally confused. The parents aren’t intelligent enough to deal with it or they, themselves, are closet homosexuals.
Is it wholesome to shove one’s pee-pee in another’s poo-poo then stick their mouth where the pee-pee’s been?
"Christian Service Brigade (CSB) is a non-denominational Christian organization for men and boys in the United States and Canada. Often referred to as "Brigade," it is organized according to a model historically similar to that of international Boys Brigade and Scouting organizations. Brigade units are sponsored by local churches, and these are typically Protestant and Evangelical in character. Brigade programs put a particular emphasis on the relationship between fathers and sons. The Christian Service Brigade motto is "Bright and Keen for Christ."
"Battalion (ages 1218) is a program organized along the lines of the Boy Scouts of America. Each Battalion is headed by a Captain, an adult volunteer, who is assisted by other adult volunteers, called Lieutenants. At the Battalion level, considerable leadership responsibility devolves to the Brigadiers themselves. The student leader of the Battalion is the Sergeant (typically a high-school senior), who is assisted by Corporals and Lance Corporals, student leaders in charge of sub-units called squads. Brigadiers wear dark green uniforms that sport Activity Patches marking the accomplishment of various achievements."
"Camp programs are a major part of the ministry of Christian Service Brigade. Brigade camp programs are usually organized, like Brigade units, into Battalion, Stockade, and Treeclimber programs. There are 13 camps across North America associated with Christian Service Brigade . . .."
You guys who were kids in the 1950s are so lucky.
That was an America I will never know.
I caught a fleeting glimpse of it in the 1970s, I turned to look and it was gone.
Here’s what I’m not seeing discussed — the resolution that was approved states that a scout must “demonstrate behavior that exemplifies the highest level of good conduct and respect for others.” What if little Jimmy tells his gay tentmate at the campout that he believes in the Bible, and it states that homosexuality is wrong? Has he not just disrespected others — specifically the one group of “others” explicitly approved for membership by the new rule?
You can be sure that ACLU lawyers will be all over anyone expressing other than complete adulation for the homosexual lifestyle. This is the problem I see with everyone saying that the rule is an acceptable “love the sinner, hate the sin” approach. Anything short of loving the sin will get you bounced out of the troop and likely into court.
please see BREITBART post to see how the vote was rigged and controlled.... EVIL..
