European Tour CEO George O'Grady said that "most of Sergio's friends are colored athletes in the United States."

Is “person of color” still OK?
I have a friend from South Africa. He refers to himself as Colored because he is of mixed race.
Sooo, what does the NAACP stand for again?
The NAACP doesn’t seem to have a problem with it.
Yet, modern self references to “people of color”, “women of color”, etc., is somehow less offensive? Yeah sure.
Jeebers, in my lifetime, “colored”, “Negro”, “Afro American”, “Black”, “African American” “people of color” have all been rotated through.
Just pick one and stick to it, I say.
I am thinking a nice shade of Blue...
I have the formula for the blue skin virus, but it has a horrible flaw, once infected the person has an attraction to making and playing musical instruments that are made out of PVC pipe....
I grew up in 1956-1966 rural Georgia, and I loved Mom's fried chicken and Grandpa's watermelons and I never once heard or saw any sort of "dehumanizing caricature" made of them regarding the black folks we knew or any black folks in general.
Maybe it once upon a time was, but did it ever occur to anyone that, if you have to explain it every time you mention it, that you're just perpetuating the thing that you're decrying?
Good, because he should of said “coloured”! Sheesh!
This is the mandatory ‘pulling the forelock’, required when those who think themselves our lords, ride by.
Refusal to pull the forelock marks you as dangerous.
Can’t use gender either. Unless you’re referring to the White Man, or Cracker.
Well that does it. No more Popeye’s Chicken for me.
How about Aunt Jemima Pancake Syrup? Can I still have that?
I used to eat at Sambo’s Restaurants, until they were hounded out of business by the usual suspects.
Do you think George Pullman should be dug up and scattered to the winds for his preferential hiring of black workers? He must have been really evil!
I Blame Whitey...
She is keeping the Coloured and black ponies down...
“Just pick one and stick to it, I say.”
Black folks simply say ‘black’ and have so my whole life. Good enough for me.
“semantic change”
“I used to eat at Sambos Restaurants, until they were hounded out of business by the usual suspects.”
I always thought Little Black Sambo was a great story. A kid gets bullied and figures out a clever way to deal with the problem all by himself.
