There is enough room for a universe between the two types of survivors.

These tough, humble, hard working, loving Okies make me so proud of them.
They personify the attitude of if you don’t like it, change it, if you can’t change, it accept it and if you can’t accept it, move on.
It is hard to be grateful when you have lost so much and dreadful when you have lost someone.
Funny thing about Oklahoma. If you have been there a few generations it is hard not to run into someone who knows someone you know. That makes it harder to hide your character. You know who to be wary of but it also brings you closer together.
