Don’t know, didn’t watch it.

Disclaimer: My attitude is always biased by my lack of faith in Republicans. When I see Republicans keel hauling one of these Democrat criminals, then I’ll begin to believe they are serious. Until then, I don’t trust the GOP.

Does anyone have any idea what document Issa showed Lerner today? She looked a little stunned while the color was draining from her face. < p> From the live thread today:

To: St_Thomas_Aquinas

Again from Hot Air: L

After she reads her statement where she asserts her innocence and pleads the 5th…

Issa says…OK…We understand that, say would you mind just authenticating whether this IG transcript is we received last night is…authentic…We’d really appreciate that..if you don’t mind.

All lawyer chummy…very polite.

Well I haven’t seen that she replies.

Issa says…Oh so sorry…here hand this to her so she can authenticate it please.

She bit.

It looked to me like a cross examination and response.

Looked like a nifty trap to me…and Gowdy saw that too.

Maybe…Gowdy spoke out but was really talking to her lawyer…Cause she screwed up her 5th pleading both in the opening statement and responding to Issa’s innocuous request for authentication of evidence related to the investigation.

If I were her lawyer…I’d try and convince her to cut a deal and spill the beans.

It might be a while, then. Because what likely happens now is that Lerner's attorney cuts a deal, trading testimony for immunity. She's stuck between the rock of testifying and the hard place of a Contempt of Congress charge and jail.

Lerner's testimony will likely be taken in camera via deposition -- there's no need to advertise her testimony to her conspirators.

Then, on the basis of where her testimony leads, more subpoenas will be sent out...and more depositions taken.

Thus, the noose will be drawn tighter...

As with most Congressional investigations, there will be a lot more action in the background than at televised hearings -- which will be reserved for maximum revelation value.

Rush made his comments BEFORE we learned that Issa will be calling her back. So everything Rush said then no longer applies.

Even he will change his tune tomorrow.

She doesn’t have much to fear when the enforcer of any penalty against her is Eric Holder.>>>>>>>>>>>>

Yes, and if so, then Holder’s impeachment will be guaranteed, and it will be a bipartisan effort.

Congress will win in the end, but its problem is that it is slow most of the time, but it can also act very quickly.

“As with most Congressional investigations, there will be a lot more action in the background than at televised hearings . . .”

I think you are right here.

I guess most of us here have a craving to watch a two-hour “Mr. Perry Mason Goes to Washington” show, complete with courtroom drama, surprising testimony, and a satisfying verdict ending in the guilty being lead out of the courtroom by police. We sometimes even joke about getting the popcorn ready.

This is not a made for C-Span movie. It is not a courtroom. And the end is not a jury verdict. That does not mean possible crime referrals should not happen when appropriate, and anyone guilty of crimes should not be given justice, but this is a congressional hearing.

I do think there is a lot going on “behind the scenes.” The line of questioning, the uncharacteristic behavior of some of the democrats, and the squirrely reactions of Lerner and Shulman would suggest that all sides in this “drama” know more than they are saying.

Ted Cruz says he doesn’t trust the GOP Representatives & Senators either...the difference is that he’s doing something about it.

God bless good folks such as Ted Cruz and Trey Goudy—the country needs them desperately.

Her lawyer is from a firm with VERY close ties to the Obama administration. She’s being “handled”. And she’s being handled in a way so as to minimize the adverse impact to the Obama regime and agenda. In my opinion, HER interests probably are secondary (in a very non-provable manner—they don’t want to be disbarred) to the interests of Obama and the Obama agenda in the minds, advice and actions of her attorneys.

How will Holder’s impeachment be guaranteed? With a Democratic Senate? Doubtful. The wild card is how much the mainstream media is willing to turn on the administration and gin up public outrage.

And the public will identify Ms. Lerner closely with the President since the Republicans’ questions will imply that she visited Obama in the Oval Office to discuss the IRS issues as often as Monica Lewinsky once visited Bill Clinton to discuss their areas of interest.

Did she bring Pizza?

Even the Dems will want to be rid of Holder before this is over. Holder and Obama are effing fascists. But this is news to the Dem party rank and file, few knew in 2007.
Now the US public knows and the Dems will have to act to impeach.

Good Read, explains:
