Protest the IRS at Dallas Senator John Cornyn's office 5/21/2013

Heard about the IRS protests to happen and found the closest IRS offices in Dallas. Fortunately also found out that wasn't the best part of town so we decided to go a little further to Senator John Cornyn's office. When we arrived there were a few people & an American flag so we knew we were in the right place. Parking was easy and in moments we were on the sidewalk.

Met some TEA party people very nice. There were at least 4 yellow Don’t tread on me flags.

One woman on a cane who was 93. Her sign said Constitution YES! Tyranny NO!.

And the best was the hispanic, Constitutional Conservative woman who started a website UnitedAmericanos.com who has devoted her time 7 days a week for 3 years to this site to give info the spanish speaking people who don’t get the real news (in addition to running her small business).

She takes no money so that the IRS isn’t involved at all with her. Meeting her was worth the drive right there. She was wonderful.

Since we just moved, Mr Bat Lady made me get rid of most all my signs. I had ONE. It said, "My rights are not yours to debate" and the other side was "cut spending, cut taxes" I thought it fit the bill.

When we were going to leave we put flags & sign in the car and went upstairs to leave comments in person at the Senators office.

Just watch out for the Dept of Homeland Security. They have all those riot tanks and extra ammo laying around and nothing much else to do...

Homeland security was in Melbourne Florida. They had 2 vehicles and K-9 crew too.

There were about 50 of us happily waving and even sometimes shouting ... in the rain ... for 1 hour and overcast for the second hour. Jolly, even if angry, friends meeting on the sidewalk.

When we left they went into the building! Guess we know which side they are on! Protecting us is NOT the object of their attendance. THREATENING us is their object.

DID NOT WORK!

As usual, my sign said FreeRepublic.com at the bottom!

Is the irony lost on anyone?

The media longed to pin the Boston Bombing to tax day and a disgruntle tax payer...it had to be -epic fail by leftwing miscreants in the media.

Fast forward 30 days...Americans are protesting the IRS with passing cars beeping!

Usually at these protests we get a number of “thumbs down” motions from the passing cars...NOT THIS TIME!

A few folks looked like they did not understand but after reading a END THE IRS or other sign...they began to smile and even cheer!

This crosses all party lines...everyone fears the IRS!
