What popular belief, Benny? I’ve known more female Ph.Ds than men.

Do you then suppose that a PhD better qualifies one’s capacity to reason? Do you think this capacity could differ depending on whether an individual is male or female?

Perhaps I should be clearer about this: The popular consensus in academic and political circles [more specifically areas with greater influence] tends to be that women lack competency (hence your image and associated comment) and therefore the practical intellectual (systemizing) ability to lead solutions-based practices (e.g. research).

It is true that many women tend to hold qualifications [particularly PhD’s] in ‘soft’ science subjects (if science at all). Thus, unless you have been working at Los Alamos [etc] I cannot conceive that, at least statistically, you have either a.) known many men. Or b.) known many women. Or c.) are particularly well-travelled outside of the U.S.

I am not interested in banter with you; I am interested in how you arrived at your conclusions.
