One of the finest Biblical teachers and preachers of this generation...

As an aside, the Kindle (I read mine every night) needs electricity...and that isn't an assured commodity in Obamaworld. Even with a generator, there is only so much fuel.
Books of faith are paramount. Have hard copies just as you would have water and MRE's.
If anyone doubts we are going to the mattresses...please have them read today's news about the DHS being present at Tea Party demonstrations re: the IRS.
Obama has has declared war and wars don't end until one side gives up. And Obama will not give up until he is forced to.
Obama has the Federal Government on his side...we only have right and God on ours.

I took my first gen Kindle on a backpacking trip last summer with a solar charger and it worked fine for me for ten days.

There is something wonderful about reading your favorite book in a wilderness setting (whether by Kindle or print).

You got that right. I remember reading The Prince overlooking Lake Superior on a ridge on Isle Royals about 14 years ago.

Fresh air does something to a man. And a book is magnified by it.
It is a wonderful thing.;-)

I use the Kindle app on my Nexus 7 but if I go anywhere outside I use my old Kindle because the ink screen is so much better for outdoor use. I was surprised they don’t have the unabridged addition of the The Gulag Archipelago on Kindle. I have been wanting to read that for awhile now.

I have been using Google Chrome as my browser. Maybe I will check out Firefox. I’m guessing you need to run the browser and install the app for it?

Yeah but its pretty unobtrusive. I grab books off the Gutenberg project by highlighting the text and sending it to kindle.
I haven’t checked to see if you can get it for other browsers.

I read differently from a book or kindle than I do on the computer.
Its better reading time.

R.C. Sproul was part of The Truth Project by Focus on The Family. He has great insight on the bible, culture and future... He’s a great Theologian.
