MOORE, Oklahoma - Several children have been pulled out of the rubble alive at a school in an Oklahoma City suburb.
An Associated Press photographer saw several children being pulled out of what was left of the Plaza Towers Elementary School in Moore, Okla., on Monday after a massive tornado hit the region.
Rescue workers lifted children from the rubble before they were passed down a human chain and taken to a triage center set up in the school's parking lot.

An earlier Fox report indicate the children that died there drowned. Wow, they were safe in the basement then the water crept up. Broken plumbing or storm runoff??
The seven drowned children were found in a pool.
Per one report, about half of the 140 (or so) patients being treated by two hospitals were children.
The other Moore school heavily damaged was Briarwood Elementary school per Fox News http://www.foxnews.com/weather/2013/05/20/oklahoma-braces-for-severe-storms/
Ahhh heard it wrong. Thanks for the update.
Our prayers are for the children—Let us hope that more can be found alive!
Please, if you can, give to the American Red Cross or Salvation Army. Tell them its for the Tornado Disaster relief and your donation will be used ONLY for that purpose! I have worked with these folks and I know they are worthy of your trust.
No basement. Just heard interview with some rescue workers at the school. Children were sheltering in the inside hallway. The roof collapsed on them, and lost of water was dumped on them. They drowned because the debris kept them from being able to get their faces out of the water.
lost= lots
I can’t imagine.
There was a shot from the helicopter before that was reported. In the shot you could see the inside of the school hallway, with the lonely backpacks hanging on hooks a still-standing wall. So sad.
Thought the claim about a swimming pool in an elementary school basement was a bit weird. I just heard someone on the scene state they drowned because there was a water main break where they were trapped under debris:(
