Yep, like it or not, the IRS scandal is the biggie that has gotten the people’s attention. It’s personal, and it’s downright diabolical.
People are reacting accordingly to this, and it opens the door to raising awareness on all the rest of the regime’s despicable behavior.

The issue opens up many possibilities, but the first priority must be winning the Senate back and strengthening the House majority. What Boehner and Mitchell need is another Contrat with America founded on transparency and small government. People want their privacy back and we can lever that into a demand for liberty. The law, at the levels we have now, is obscene and no longer reflects reality. It is a monster used simply to plunder a la Bastiat.
Now's the time for a real reform of the tax code. There are worse scandals, but this one is virulent. We need to use it to capture the mushy middle. Now isn't the time for the GOPe to be in the ascendancy, but conservatism, good old conservatism (not that neo-conservative garbage).
