Anne Hendershott, an eloquent opponent of the Obama administration, states that she has reason to believe she was targeted by the IRS for an audit following publications that were critical of President Obama and Catholics who supported him.
Aleteia, a Catholic publication, reports that Hendershott, a Catholic scholar, sociology professor at Franciscan University at Steubenville, Ohio, and columnist for the Wall St. Journal, may have been harassed by the IRS for specifically opposing the policies of the Obama administration.
I have no proof of it being a political audit, Hendershott said. Only the curious circumstance surrounding it. My husband and I have been married for 39 years and never have been audited before. It was odd that [the agent] only wanted to talk with me--although he said I could bring our tax accountant... All of the questions focused on who was paying me for the articles.
Hendershotts 2010 audit took place in the New Haven, Connecticut IRS office. She said the IRS agent was very inquisitive and that she had the impression that he was looking for a reason that I was writing for money, where, you know, Catholics tend not to do that."
"He kept asking me who was paying me: Who paid you to write this one? and What did you get paid for that? she claimed.

No one has ever criticized President Obama, except that the Koch Brothers, Dr. No, or Blofeld paid them too.
I would've said it was pro bono work.
Easy to say when you’re not in the hot seat. Perjury is what they’d hang her on if she lied.
Yes, he’s behind it all. And in CT and not from the lowly employees in Cleveland. Glad she came forward. How horrible for her to go through it. So glad this bubble burst so all who were audited know the truth. Jay Sekulow Chief Counsel of ACLJ has been working on this IRS fiasco and filing papers next week on it.
DOMESTIC TERRORIST ORGANIZATION
First they came for the Tea Party; then they came for the Catholics; then they came for the gun owners. Who’s next?
Eric Holder - “Uncle Toms”
Helen Thomas - the Joosz
Chrissy Matthews - the people at Fox
Valerie Jarrett - anyone who opposed Obama
Barack Obama: “I approve of these messages”
Kind of think they would hit a little bump in the road there.............Know what I mean.
That’s how you know this wasn’t an “accident”. Because this is exactly how liberals think: that no one holds conservative/libertarian beliefs on their own, they must be getting paid to say such things by the evil Koch brothers or somesuch. They really think like this.
I agree. he’s behind all of it. And he who announced “ “I think I’m a better speech writer than my speech writers,” he reportedly told an aide in 2008. “I know more about policies on any particular issue than my policy directors. And I’ll tell you right now that I’m . . . a better political director than my political director.” - now he has to resort to saying I don’t know nutin’. Who me? I heard about it on the news.
How sickening and pathetic. Commie a-hole!
Clinically the diagnosis is projectionism. They get paid what to think. They work for the government or get grants from the government or work for a union and they think what the government or union tells them to think. So they project their own faults onto their opposition. Similar to how they called all the AGW skeptics paid for by the oil lobby, simply because the vast majority of AGW proponents were paid for by the government.
Hear you loud and clear. Clank!!!!
I’ll bet if they connect the dots in these IRS investigations, we might find one of the motives was to build a case against the Koch brothers, for their “crimes against 0bama”.
I have no idea what you mean, but I will be cheering for those who side with the Constitution if things get ugly. On an unrelated note, I got some good range time in yesterday. Interestingly, it was more crowded than before the recent ammo/etc crisis, and I saw a whole lot of good shooting. I am seeing focused, thoughtful range time, rather than random plinking that makes noise and burns through ammo.
It's almost like people are training and not just having fun. A well regulated militia is necessary to the security of a free state, and it will be there in the unlikely event that it is ever needed.
Why the hell is that stupid priest looking like he’s seeing the second coming of Jesus Christ?
Father: there is only one Messiah, and you’re not smiling at him!
