A flat tax is still an income tax, and would leave the IRS in place.
It punishes productivity, and fails to capture any revenue from the illegal aliens and illegal activities like drugs and prostitution because most of them don’t report their income, but they buy stuff, so with the Fair Tax, they would start paying their share.
The IRS tried to take out the Tea Party, it would be sweet vengeance for the Tea Party to take out the IRS.
Mike Kelly does a good job of explaining how the IRS terrorizes Americans with the threat and expense of an audit.
Say no to terrorism - abolish the IRS.
Every discussion should point out that now is the time for the Fair Tax!!

I would add this, that I can see how individuals can come to opposite conclusions on what to do in 2012. What I don’t see is attacking any of our own, whichever choice was made.
I know Texans overwhelmingly, desperately wanted Obama gone. They were willing to vote in a way unlike themselves - for a Massachusetts Mormon RINO - if that’s what it took.
Far too many on our side don’t realize - haven’t thought it through - that without such people willing to do that, Barack Obama would have won the state of Texas. And all of the other states. They forget that Obama’s people vote for him no matter what, and would take down even Texas if Texans didn’t bite that bullet and do what they felt they had to.
Rep. Kelly’s Romney support in 2012 and his great rant on the IRS scandal today aren’t that hard to reconcile.
Texas voted for Mitt Romney AND, they sent Ted Cruz to Washington at the same time.
I think this is one of the worst scandals I have ever seen. The implications are huge yet NOBODY is stepping forward to take responsibility.........if they get away with pinning this on a few low level paper pushers, it will be a travesty.

What I don’t see is any sense in people trying to rewrite history and make Romney into some kind of better option. His record mirrors Obamas. What he ‘promised’ on the campaign trail is irrelevant. What he did in office...the gun grabbing, abortion/gay laws et all, showed he had no business doing anything but continuing to deny Reagan. Which as you know, he did very publicly.
If that is the leader people want, they have no right to complain about the current crop in power. Because they are one and the same.
Hindsight should be 20 20 so that a Romney is never again allowed to be a supposed right wing candidate. And if people refuse to accept the truth of the guy, you can bet we will see more like him.

Brian Sussman (filling in for Mark Levin) is now saying that there's a similar outrage that's happened at the EPA. Conservative groups were illegally discriminated against, while the vast majority of liberal groups were not.
The mortar is coming loose from the bricks. More and more is going to come out, and threads will tie together, one after another, ever leading up the chain to the West Wing. The genie is out of the bottle, and isn't going away.
It is voluntary to comply with the IRS the way every paper law is voluntary. You always have the option of non-compliance as long as you’re willing to pay the fine / do the jail time. Compulsory volunteers, we all are.
