The IRS Is Accessing Your Health Records. You Trust Them?

So how do you feel about turning over access to sensitive healthcare information to the Internal Revenue Service?

In the wake of running disclosures of the agency’s nefarious snooping and political targeting, its new role as chief health insurance enforcer should give us heartburn.

Under Obamacare, responsibility for verifying eligibility for the healthcare program, and monitoring whether you carry “qualifying” health coverage (and are exempt from the law’s penalties) falls principally to the IRS.

The IRS was given expansive, new powers to execute these goals. That includes more authority to share your personal information — not only about your income, but also your healthcare.

And the agency’s reach only grows: Former IRS Commissioner Douglas Shulman told Congress last year that the agency would need another $13.1 billion to implement Obamacare in 2014, on top of the billion it has already spent.

Officials at the U.S. Treasury, the parent of the IRS, have estimated that the IRS now has about 700 full-time staffers working on Obamacare implementation.

Estimates say that eventually, the IRS will need a minimum of 5,000 and perhaps as many of 16,000 additional employees to carry out the new law’s many mandates.

The IRS is under fire this week, after its Director of Exempt Organizations Lois Lerner admitted on Friday that the agency targeted conservatives for special tax-exempt scrutiny during the 2012 election season. IRS targeted tea party types and groups that specifically opposed the Obama Administration.

This abuse should give everyone pause heading into the fall, when the IRS assumes the lead roll in monitoring what kind of health insurance we carry, whether we are eligible for Obamacare, or subject to the legislation’s myriad list of financial penalties.

The IRS will play politics with Obamacare oversight. That's why they wear the arm bands with the swastika on them.

The IRS Is Accessing Your Health Records

Can someone explain to me where they are accessing your health records other than the name of the insurance company? This wild claim is occurring in story after story and not one backs it up with the slightest shred of evidence.

My progressive friends assure me that clearly the abuses at IRS have been brought to light and the perpetrators will be punished. This is prima facie evidence that healthcare is safe in the hands of IRS.

Well, actually they don’t. They just say I’m paranoid.

I don't normally spread rumors, but I have a friend who works in the Cincinnati's Office of the IRS, and she told me the president has herpes!

She did not say where the lesions were. That was confidential.

I don't know....but, this does NOT make me feel comfortable....they have all THIS info, plus your soc sec #...means they CAN access your electronic health records which they are trying to get into one big database...

"According to American’s for Tax Reform, at a minimum, the form will need to contain: the name and health insurance identification number of the taxpayer; the name and tax identification number of the health insurance company; the number of months the taxpayer was covered by this insurance plan; and whether or not the plan was purchased in one of Obamacare’s “exchanges.”

The 16th Amendment is wrong. The IRS is wrong. ObamaCare is wrong. Three wrongs do not make a right.

Remember this?

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) intends to purchase sixty Remington Model 870 Police RAMAC #24587 12 gauge pump-action shotguns for the Criminal Investigation Division. The Remington parkerized shotguns, with fourteen inch barrel, modified choke, Wilson Combat Ghost Ring rear sight and XS4 Contour Bead front sight, Knoxx Reduced Recoil Adjustable Stock, and Speedfeed ribbed black forend, are designated as the only shotguns authorized for IRS duty based on compatibility with IRS existing shotgun inventory, certified armorer and combat training and protocol, maintenance, and parts.

The IRS is becoming the Brown Shirts of the Democratic Party.

Thanks to the fact that most Rats don't *pay* taxes they love IRS agents. Most of those who *do* pay taxes are afraid of the IRS.IMO this is more likely to be a win/win for the Marxists.

The Liberal Union Behind the IRS
The American Spectator ^ | 5/16/2013 | Jeffrey Lord

Posted on Thursday, May 16, 2013 6:46:52 AM by RoosterRedux

The IRS?

It’s about a union: the National Treasury Employees Union. The NTEU. A left-wing union representing 150,000 employees in 31 separate government agencies, including the IRS. A union that not only endorsed President Obama for election and re-election, but a union whose current president, Colleen Kelly, was a 14-year IRS agent and now is both union president and Obama administration appointee (of which more in a moment).

It’s about 94% of NTEU union contributions going to Democrats in the Senate and House in 2012 — candidates who campaigned as vociferous opponents of the Tea Party.

And the recently released report from the Treasury Inspector General? You will not find a single reference to the NTEU. Whose members are both player and referee in the exploding controversy over the IRS targeting of conservative groups.

Which raises the obvious question: how many NTEU members were involved in the writing of the Inspector General’s report?

Even more to the point, what contact — what coordination — has the Obama White House had with their allies in the NTEU leadership as both the White House and the NTEU race to get on top of a scandal that is rapidly engulfing both?

Did I mention that the NTEU has no comment on all of this? And that when President Obama went in front of cameras to make his statement on the IRS scandal — he never once mentioned his very powerful union buddies that have the run of the IRS? Right down to the control of who gets a Blackberry? Literally.

Let’s first see how the IRS/NTEU game with the Tea Party and conservatives is played, shall we?

The IRS and trust are mutually exclusive terms now that the IRS has become the ministry of truth enforcement wing of the obama regime. The damage has been done, and nothing can be done to regain the trust of the people in this organization.

What? Have you ever heard of digital transfer of information? This isn’t paper we’re talking about. 10 years of a sick individual’s high-activity medical history can be transferred in mere seconds.

There was an article in Forbes about a class action lawsuit emerging out of Florida. Have to find that but that’s as direct a source as I’ve seen.
