Corruption: The inspector general's report on the IRS targeting of conservatives makes it seem like a case of bureaucratic bumbling. But the more we learn, the more it looks like a concerted effort to hobble Obama's political foes.
'Inappropriate criteria," "insufficient oversight" and "lack of managerial review." That's what led the IRS to target hundreds of conservative groups for intrusive, costly and lengthy scrutiny during their application for tax-exempt status, according to the IG report released on Tuesday.
In other words, it wasn't a politically motivated attack on conservative groups during a presidential campaign. It was just a case of some bad wording and a lack of good bosses.
Except that, as details of the IRS scandal emerge, it's increasingly giving the appearance of a wide-scale effort to tilt the playing field against conservative activist groups...

Would this be a violation of the Hatch Act or any other provision prohibiting government employees from interfering with an election?
This shows how effective this Administration was in chilling IGs early on. Their crucifixion theory.
Can’t remember the name or story details but an IG was forced to resign after committing the error of actually doing his job re a friend of Barack (the basketball player who was Mayor of Oakland?).
TRY???

That's what this whole thing is all about, and everyone knows it. The IRS as a federal agency acted in collusion with the Obama campaign to help ensure Obama's reelection.
This collusion may not have been direct in all instances, but there was certainly some communication at high levels. In addition, I have absolutely no doubt that the IRS is infested with Obama-loving zombies who were all too eager to "bend the rules" to do their part to help Obama.
There should be a thorough review of the IRS and a complete cleaning/disinfecting of that agency.
I see no other credible explaination, they didnt want 2012 to be another 2010 so they (IRS) squashed groups opposing Obama and gave a free pass to those supporting him.
But... Obama is outraged over it and he fired a scapegoat so everything is fixed now.
I really liked Boeners comment yesterday ;”I am looking for procecutions and convictions”
Look at what happened to Scooter Libby.
At the end of the day they didn’t need to. Romney did that all on his own.
Someone pointed out yesterday that this Cincinnati office was responsible for the approval of all 501 c4’s in all the swing states in the 2012 election,
and that the Cincinnati office was specifically picked to handle these “Tea Party” applications, “coincidentally”.
From American Spectator:
National Treasury Employees Union (NTEU) donations:
For the U.S. Senate:
Total to Democrats: $156,750
Total to Republicans: $1,000
For the U.S. House:
Total to Democrats: $391,062
Total to Republicans: $23,000
And remember, Democrats tell us we need to get the money out of politics!
Two of those who best forecast the turn to communism-light by the American people were Jane Fonda and Nikita Khrushchev.
Yes, and the scapegoat was leaving in two or three weeks anyway. Why can’t the American people understand? They are blinded by what they think is their own self-interest.
Well DUH!!
AND, as I said before the election when liberal weenies were hollering about Romneys tax returns, obama OWNS the IRS, had he wanted them exposed, they would have been.

Does a bear....
... sigh..... never mind.
At the end of the day, Romney was dealing with an atrophied support system. Had Conservative groups been allowed to form back in 2010 when this started, Romney wouldn't have been so far behind.
People kept asking where Romney's ad buys were when he was being attacked relentlessly by Obama. Why was Romney not responding?
The excuse was that Romney had to wait for the primaries to end to get general election funds released. I guess the real reason was that the tax-exempt issue groups that would have normally made up the advertising gap were stopped by the IRS from participating, leaving Romney alone to run ads against Obama.

Look Sir, these scandal's dont affect me.
I only care about kitchen table pocket book issues:
free chest x-rays, birth control, free school meals for kids, pre-K (so I can get some peace without those brats)....
FREE STUFF is what counts, not these silly distractions.
That is what they want, bread and circus's.
thank you! I think I’m going to have his name tattoo’d on my wrist as I refer to the incident somewhat occasionally but always forget his name and the specifics. Nonetheless, it was an opening salvo of Team Obama as to how an IG would conduct his/her investigations.
