Typical left-wing spin.

Rep. Jim Sensenbrenner of Wisconsin had a little more luck. Stating that he wanted to “pin down” who authorized the subpoenas that yielded the AP records. Was it deputy attorney general James Cole, Sensenbrenner asked? After repeating that he couldn’t be sure due to his recusal, Holder confirmed that it was — but only after receiving a note from his staff. (Multiple members subsequently suggested Cole should testify, though Holder noted that he probably couldn’t respond.) Sensenbrenner continued: Why were you recused? “I was interviewed as one of the people who had access to the info,” Holder replied — in other words, he was a potential suspect in the leak. Sensenbrenner, frustrated at not getting a response, suggested Holder go to the Truman Museum and “take a picture of the thing on his desk that said ‘the buck stops here.’”

WHY?

Why did Holder recuse himself? I mean, he must know.

Other people don’t recuse you when you are literally the man in charge.

Who “recused” Holder?

The Inspector General? If so, say so, because that means Holder is the target of an investigation.

0bama? If so, say so, because it probably means the cover-up is well underway, and 0bambi wants to protect Holder, and possibly himself.

How lame is it that the Attorney General recuses himself? Is he to be impeached because he can’t execute his responsibilities without becoming the target of the investigation?

WTF is recusal about here?

Holder went into the hearing with one task: cover his rear-end. He is a sad excuse for an AG. America deserves better. In fact, America deserves an overall better Administration. This one is a corrupt fiasco.

***During his opening comments, Goodlatte raised the following issues as topics, in order: the Boston terror attacks, spending at the department, questionable farm loan payments (known popularly as “Pigford”), the problems at the IRS, and, finally, the department’s seizure of phone records from the AP. ***

.... but nothing about Fast and Furious????

This is the “dog ate my homework” White House.

Every answer is like the one that started this exchange - “I’m sure there was a very good reason we withheld the information, I just have no idea what that reason is”.

OK, then you don’t know there was a very good reason, you are just wasting everyone’s time.

Not one comment herein stated that Holder has _NO_ business talking to an ranking elected congressman this way. May YHVH shut the month of these lawless creatures, inhabiting District C(rime).

I would ask him who recused you? On what date were you recused? Do you have any supporting documentation of said recusal?

Since when does a witness get to insult the chairman? Isn’t that a lack of decorum? And what makes Issa shameful? Asking questions that a lot of other people would have asked.

I watched this and my impression is that Rep. Bob Goodlatte is not a strong leader. He let the repubs drift from the main topics. Hey Bob step down and let Trey Gowdy take over!
