Why is Speaker Boehner Resisting a Special Committee on Benghazi?
American Thinker ^ | 05/15/2013 | J. Robert Smith

Some things don't stack up. On Monday, Politico headlined that Speaker John Boehner was fixated with the bubbling Benghazi scandal. In fact, Politico termed the speaker's fixation as "big."

So why is Boehner dragging his feet on empanelling a special (or select) committee to tackle the Benghazi disaster? Why is the speaker standing pat on last week's statement that House standing committees are getting the investigative job done?

Most everyone has Boehner's snapshot: cautious by nature, a Washingtonized pol who'd rather play than fight. But, as Politico contends, the speaker is invested in the growing Benghazi controversy. Politico outlined the speaker's behind-the-scenes involvement:

With Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) as the public face and the speaker's office as the muscle, House Republicans are turning turn [sic] the story of the Sept. 11, 2012, attack in Libya that left four Americans dead from a mesh of confusing details into a defining political fight with President Barack Obama.

Probably because he condoned something he shouldn’t have.

This is the whole problem with congressional hearings. All they ever find is what dirt they have on each other and scapegoats.

We need a way to take these things out of the hands of congress.

I think he is trying to avoid getting into the middle of Highly Classified revelations that the CIA in Bengazi was running guns to Syria rebels.

My opinion...Boehner is dirty and he’s scared to call a Special Committee because his dirt might come to light.

Why is Speaker Boehner Resisting a Special Committee on Benghazi? It will make him cry? He’s a wimp? He’s smoking doobies with obamba? He drank the kool-aid? Pelosi might beat him up? HE’S A RINO?

We have Americans dead, including a US Ambassador in Benghazi, who begged for extra security and were given none, who sought support during the attack and were given none, who had people ready to go and help them who were ordered to stand down, who disobeyed orders to stand down and did help who were also killed in the processs...but did save many lives. An Administration that lied to all of us and the world abot these facts and is covering up even worse in the process..and is still doing so.

We have a tyranical adminsitration that used an official arm of government ot intimidate and go after a whole class of political adversaries...not just break into an office building...but used a government agency with full law enforcement powers to intimidate and try to silence American opposition.

A tyranical administration who illegally suppoenad on its own and then wire tapped hundreds of conversations by reporters, wholly ininvolved with an investigation, and then lied about it, and is even now trying to cover it up.

If Boehner is unwilling to forthrightly and directly stand against these atrocieites (and many more), and go after the perpetrators all the way to the top of the food chain, then HE IS PART OF THE PROBLEM and needs to be removed from his position post haste.
