Stephen Hayes from the Weekly Standard is reporting that David Axelrod tells NBC Reporter
"The White House would benefit from releasing all Benghazi emails"
This is really odd.
Axelrod is on Obama’s team.
I could see him or Robert Gibbs drumming up the IRS or DOJ scandals.. but this statement can’t be helpful to the White House.
Maybe they knew not to say anything incriminating in the emails..
That is odd. Unless he’s had so much koolaid that he thinks there’s nothing damaging in there it makes no sense to say this.
does obama still use a blackberry
Something doesn’t pass the sniff test here.
I’m sure he uses whatever he wants.
Remember when he first got to the WH.. he rebuffed at not being able to have one.
Betcha he’s got a secret one.
Agreed.
Stinks to high heaven.
The old Dem way....fess up and they will kiss your feet.
Now people will know there is no coverup...
Duh....of course there was a cover up....and it was just before the election.
Ah I see what you’re saying... he’s trying to send that message.
I would surmise that his motivation is to gradually release some pressure rather than have an explosion.
There is no built in pressure relief valve, so the e mail valve must be gradually opened a little to reduce the building pressure.
I think he just means, pick all the ones that don’t reveal anything, and then say, here, these are all of them.
I think the WH should release the 30 Benghazi captives and let them speak about what happened.
I’d be more interested in whether or not Obama granted CBA.
I’d be more interested in whether or not Obama granted CBA.
Or rathe, why he didn’t because eence so far indicates he didn’t.
Perhaps this is part of a spin that goes something like:
“The White House would benefit from releasing all Benghazi emails, but they can’t do that because it would compromise too many top secret intelligence operation details that would cause great harm to our brave sources, operatives and allies.”
The point being that the White House is so concerned with the welfare of others that it will hold the emails in confidence even though if released it would become instantly obvious that the administration has done nothing wrong.
I can easily see Obama’s team taking this position as an excuse for stonewalling the release of the emails.
Blowing smoke.
I’ll bet he doesn’t recommend releasing emails about the IRS scandal. If you want to know who is behind that one just water board Axelrod and Plouff.
