PHILADELPHIA – A Philadelphia abortion doctor convicted of killing three babies who were born alive has agreed to give up his right to an appeal and will be spared a potential death sentence.

Dr. Kermit Gosnell was convicted Monday of first-degree murder in the deaths of the babies who were delivered alive and killed with scissors. The 72-year-old Gosnell gave up his appeal rights Tuesday, and prosecutors agreed to two life sentences without parole.

You don’t need to tell me how evil he is. I know how evil he is.

I hope this has woken a lot of people up. I can agree that abortion should be a very rare medical procedure - rare as 1 in 100Million (gives you 3-4 in the COUNTRY per year) - but not as the RvW Opinion (based on a lie) allowed.

Did you also note: the New York Times in their rush to be politically correct, actually established that a fetus is life? They swapped out fetus for baby in their recitation of the trial specifics and discussions of "fetal demise". Now there is no excuse for anyone not to know that destroying a fetus destroys a human life. Thanks be to God.

Are you prolife or not?

And the idea people get killed over child murder in prison is a tad bit exaggerated. Thugs don’t care.

“Tom Ridge was the guv.”

Who refuses to answer how this all got by him, the other politicians, law enforcement and government agencies ALL THESE YEARS!

You know a lot of people had to know about that place since everyone else seemed to be able to find it when they wanted a late term abortion. And it being the filthy scum of a ‘clinic’, I’m sure people talked about it to others. THEY KNEW! They had to know and just turned their heads.

If this serial baby torturer-killer only got life, then what’s the death penalty for?

He’s already about 3 years older than his life expectancy.

He'd have died a natural death before they ever got around to the needle so it is a wash and saved the state millions in appeals.

Not really bad...it's actually a very good deal.. look..in Texas and Florida, where executions are common, it takes on averaged 10 years until all appeals are exhausted before death sentence is carried out. In PA, where they've had 2 or 3 executions in the last 50 years..there is no way that he'd ever live long enough to be executed..

It saves the state millions in the cost of all the appeals..

More importantly, as far as Gosnell is concerned, it's a tougher sentence. Because of multiple SC rulings, prisoners on death row get far better treatment..meals, cells, exercise, privileges, TV, etc, than does the general population. In California, where prisoners are on death row for 30 years or more..at trial prisoners often REFUSE the deal..they'd rather be on death row than have life without parole..

Two life sentences without parole is nothing compared to what God will mete out.

Eternity away from him in a hot an sulfur smelling place.

I hope, since I didn’t get my wish for death, that it’s life without a chance of parole. I hope the inmates beat the H*** out of him!

Good. May he hear the screams of the babies he killed every night for the rest of his life.

As a Christian, I hope that he repents, but if he felt no remorse while snipping the necks of babies, then what are the odds he’ll feel something now? He’s a sociopath whose heart has been further hardened by each baby he killed, and his soul may belong to the devil for eternity.

it probably wouldn’t be tough to become penpals with some of the inmates around him and to ask how he’s doing, and to make a few suggestions.

I just don’t think the general population cares any more than the general population in the media.

The empty seats in the media pool at his trial speaks more about how much the general population cares than how much the media cares.

Abortion has crept into infanticide

You’re absolutely right. It is sickening. I have a neighbor who was watching the Jodi Arias trial. She was totally absorbed in it and would ask me if I had heard the latest. I’d tell her that I was more interested in the doctor who had butchered all the innocent babies and she would clam up. Grrrrrrrr!!! It makes me so furious.

And that’s what we’re up against.

Some groups are tuned in to all of this and why it’s happening, and what to do to overcome.

With that many abortions, you have two parents per, plus all the other enablers and coercers.

They don’t know what to do with their guilt and are now ignoring it. That means closing the door to it - for now.

If abortion and birth control are the root cause of family breakdown, cynicism and support for liberalism, then it’s why there’s not a lot of coverage.

But it has begun. There’s no turning back.

Now these people are going to need a place to go to alleviate their guilt. They can’t pretend it’s not there, even if everyone in gov’t and the media assures them abortion is OK.

It’s just not. If it were, they’d be able to watch this.

They know more than anyone, Gosnell is the face of abortion,in utero or post natal. They know it’s no matter.
