Of course this statement does seem quite outrageous on so many levels I need some duct tape to hold my head together this morning, but apparently they have to introduce a bill to protect our Rights? And apparently the worst that can happen to them is job termination, big deal?
Although I know under Nixon he was brought down on similar charges and why would they not apply now? In fact why would not some of this be voter intimidation and harassment?
So many transgressions in what the IRS did and this morning's reports claiming that what the IRS was not illegal just seems crazy.
It is like they are already gearing up to tell us, as citizens whose Rights were violated, as victims of the government's abuse of power, as voting blocks subjected to intimidation we have no standing?
Should we just sit back and wait for Congress to investigate or should we already be taking legal action? I know some Tea Party groups are already talking about suing, but ....pass some more duct tape please.....
just abolish it as it’s broken beyond repair.
I want to see treason charges.
Both and sooner or later the irs is gone.
LLS
YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Funny, I thought it was already a crime to use the IRS as a political weapon.
These people can run but they can’t hide. They are among us living in the same neighborhoods. They should be very careful where they step. They ARE the enemy.
Yeah, I thought it was too? So you can’t imagine my surprise to have heard this brief statement on WTAM this morning!
But, but Turner (R) is one the air claiming they, the IRS, did nothing criminal!
Did nothing criminal? Hell, the whole organization is a criminal enterprise.
This is like gun control laws, already on the books. Criminals don’t obey laws.
...unintended consequences...
Congress, Closing the barn door after the cow is gone for over 200 years
We should remove Income tax.
I’m trying to understand why we need this new bill/law?
I don’t think there is a barn door to close.
In fact, I view this bill as actually minimizing the violations of the Federal Government.
Yep. A Republican riding to the rescue to defend the status quo while denying the real problem.
In fact if you listen carefully to even the media, they keep saying ‘discrimination.’
Not abuse of power, not tyranny (which they’d never day), but ‘discrimination.’
That word doesn’t appropriately convey the depth of the violation of Rights.
They need to make sure this includes any discrimination in healthcare decisions the IRS will be making.
A fine and penalties didn’t stop it this time, and at other times.
Let’s not kid ourselves. The IRS needs to be fundamentally changed as does our entire tax system.
The very nature of finding out what someone’s income is INVITES abuse.
Better to tax ONLY at point of sale of some purchased item. My private means of securing the income with which I buy anything is then NOT a subject of anyone’s interest.
Their only interest is whether or not the sales tax was paid or not paid. And a receipt will verify that.
Off to work, have a good day.
Do we really need another law saying that breaking the law is illegal?
Time for the flat tax. Who can ever trust them again?
