“What’s the point in impeaching now when Senate is controlled by Dems?”
Obviously, it wouldn’t occur. But supposing the GOP were able to capture the Senate in 2014, it might theoretically occur in 2015. But given the Republicans’ chronic cowardice and incompetence, how likely is that?

If its all about politics, then there is no point in impeaching until it is politically expedient for your party.
