Corruption determined to not be an obstacle to taxpayer money
Millions of children will be targeted to improve their reading skills over the next five years under a new Obama administration literacy program in nearly 30,000 public and private primary schools.
But the schools are not in the U.S., theyre in the Republic of Kenya.
The tentatively titled Kenya Early Grade Reading Project, or KEGRP, seeks to implement national curriculum standards, deploy more than 1,000 trainers to assist tens of thousands teachers and improve the ratio of textbooks to students. The Obama administration didnt reveal the cost of the program.

Nice to see that Obama is supporting his country of birth with our tax dollars.
Hieroglyphics and chalk boards with large letters in all caps???
Obama expands reading program in his native Kenya
That the news media unleashed this creature upon the great country of America shows that the news media are pure evil incarnate as are all democrats
Free korans and commie manifesti, paid by American taxpayers?
Teleprompters from Taxpayers?
(look, kids—you, too can “read” like Bath-House Barry!)
OK class let’s all spell “sequester.
[USAID anticipates that within four years the government of Kenya will have sufficient capacity in the areas of finance and procurement, human resources, and teaching and learning materials to mainstream and sustain the endeavor.]
Sure they will. This money is going to buy some cannibal in a field marshal’s uniform a new bullet-proof Rolls Royce.
I wonder if the Obama Kolego, Kenya cultural center to honor his Kenyan birth place has been built yet?
Too bad the Founders did not consider the possibility of divided loyalties.
Oh wait, maybe it was up to the voters to stop this imposter.
.... Well ... it's the thought that counts ..... it's a grand gesture, but one that in the past was left up to private organizations to fund such things.... And is not the responsibility of the US government.
.... When I get into discussions with Hollywood liberals on subject of the necessity of the US gov't funding of charitable needs ... I simply point out that, under the constitution ... that is not the responsibility of the US gov't. Money used by the government is generated by tax money collected from hard working citizens who probably already donate money to organizations to handle such needs out of the kindness of their heart. It should not be funded by a mandated forced confiscation of funds from the taxpayer. I then explain the efficiency of the use of the dollars collected by charitable organizations as opposed by a massive bloated bureaucracy where only an infinitesimal fraction of cash reaches its actual goal.
The response is always the same ..... "Wow ..... I never thought of that!!!" That's when I smile and walk away.
“Under what authority is he doing this? I’m sick and tired of our tax dollars being squandered on third world corruptocrats.”
Per the Constitution all spending bills must originate in the House of Representatives. Every dime sent to Kenya and other countries is appropriated by the Republican House. If you have a Republican Congressperson I suggest you pose the question to your representative.
“Nearly 80 percent of New York City high school graduates need to relearn basic skills before they can enter the City Universitys community college system.”
Maybe we could fly them to Kenya?
I’m sure the schools and teachers here are supportive. LOL
Obama-King of the World.
We’re contributing taxpayer dollars so Kenyan kids can learn to read the Koran.
It’s part of Obama’s legacy, doncha know.
