Posted on 05/12/2013 10:10:04 AM PDT by onyx
Victoria Toensing, attorney for Benghazi whistleblower Gregory Hicks, says Hicks is a Democrat who voted for Hillary Clinton during the 2008 primaries, and President Obama twice for President. Toensing also said that NBC News "spiked" the story this week, prior to Hicks' dramatic testimony before Congress.
Toensing appeared on WMAL-FM in Washington DC Saturday with host Steve Malzberg.
"He voted for Hillary in the primary and Obama twice. NBC spiked the story where I told it before the hearings...
...Its just amazing what the press is still trying to do to cover this up. So they try to make this partisan because of the lawyer. Well Im not the messenger, hes the messenger! The modus operandi is to find anything they can do to just attack.

There is no telling what stories have been spiked, stories about his birth, forged documents, racist church, election crimes, homosexuality, drug use, missing college years, terror pals, general ignorance, etc.
It obvious the were doing research to prove that he was a disgruntle Republican, just imagine their horror when they found out he was a loyal *repeat offender* Rat, LOL.
I think very soon we will see some crisis, doesn’t have to be major, just something MSM can use to ignore Benghazi, and the IRS. Although a major crisis would better serve their purpose.
NBCPMSLSD doesn’t want to upset their tiny loony bin audience. So sticking to their hardline Communist “news” template.
A comment from an attorney for the accused isn't going to appear credible. What we need is a comment from an actual reporter.
Anyone wanting on or off this ping list, please advise.
Steve Malzberg is second only to Rushbo. I miss him on local radio station. Hoping the Apple 970 picks him up.
Ok I am stupid.
What does the lawyer mena when she says NBC spiked the story?
did NBC report Hicks was a Democrat?
How does that spike the story?
sorry to be so stupid
oops onyx ... you are my best bud!
Hey Obama droids ! You must be feeling real pumped about the coming revolution/civil war, knowing of course that Obama has your back just like he had the back of Stevens.
Refused to publish the fact.
I have a hard time believing he voted for Obama a second time knowing what he knows. If true, he is an idiot, in my opinion.
NBC does not report the news; it advocates.
And creates its own version of news.
It would be difficult to find out who he voted for unless he wanted it to be known.
Do think it was a little revenge on his part for being demoted by his heroes.
Got to look at every angle when it comes to motivation by a RAT.
That picture says it all.
I've had an uneasy feeling that this is their only way out of Benghazi hearings and scrutiny of their role in Benghazi.
How low will they go to protect themselves and their political careers....
...knowledgeable and fearless..........
Is right. Hope they have security for themselves.
I believe him, but I guess he only became a whistle-blower because his own career was threatened, not because we had four dead Americans directly attributed to this administration.
As someone already said, to spike a story is to hide or just ignore it.
My understanding is that waaaaay back when newspapers were the main source of fast news (i.e., before TV or the Internet), reporters would find themselves adrift in sheets and sheets of paper all over the place as they tried to pull together the pieces of a fast-moving story. So some smart person put a spike on his desk, and whenever he was done with a particular piece of paper, he’d jam it onto the spike. (I say “he” because in those days there were few female reporters.) When the spike was full of paper, an office boy making the rounds to clean up the place would take all the pieces of paper at once and throw them away.
So to “spike” a story intentionally was to put in on the throwing-away spike without dealing with it. To ignore it.
(If there are any old-timey journalists who have a better version of this story, please feel free to correct this!)

Even though he has my sympathy and support, he would probably do so again.
Don’t ever forget that.
I had no idea and tried to relate it to spiking a ball but that didn’t really make sense.
I bet MSM would love to spike all the 0dumbo news.
