Beautiful girls, BTW, sorry to hear about your wife.

There's been so much here about 'sequestration', that it's just amazing to hear that from an official source.

Why would there be a need for a 215th anniversary concert anyway? Maybe 225.

The US Marine Corps treats November 10, 1775, as its birthday, but after the Revolutionary War it was disbanded and not re-established until July 11, 1798, at the time of the so-called Quasi-War with France. So this July would be 215 years from that date.

The word has gone out from the Obama regime to the heads of each governmental entity to choose the most painful monetary action they can take to pimp the public and then blame it on sequestration. Out of the hundreds of options available for cutting that would not impact the public negatively, the ones chosen are the ones most guaranteed to inconvenience, financially impact, or otherwise screw the people of this country.

And, remember, the sequestration cuts weren’t even real cuts; they are cuts in future spending not in current spending. And in an economy of trillions, Obama is claiming that there can’t even be a 2% cut in future allocations. Well, if that is the case, we are in deep doo doo, as our national debt will continue to spiral out of control because of continual reckless spending by Obama and his regime.

I would never in my lifetime have expected that we would have a President who would intentionally inflict pain on his own U.S. constituents, making their lives more miserable in order to justify his political stance on sequestration. Fight on the political court in Congress, don’t fight against your own countrymen. Geez.....

The Obama regime is a dung heap that is crapping all over the American people.

The African communist Ubama and his Chicago mob are downright childish.
This is just another example of them stomping their feet because they didn’t get their way.

It's what happens when you let everybody vote, impose universal suffrage via Constitutional Amendment.

The Founders didn't put the right to vote in the Constitution for a REASON.

Is that $30,000,000 pledged to Syrian rebels being cut, too?

Excellent post, Flaglady. You nailed it!

Since the majority of voters consider Obama their father, not only temporal, but eternal, it's only just and right that he should punish us severely when he deems we need it.

I can't believe the number of masochists in this country that not only endure but seem to enjoy the psychopathic maneuverings, omissions and commissions of the illegal occupier of the presidential office.

No cost for tickets I seem to remember.

Is this the summer event at the Kennedy Center?

It gets lots of attention in that area from my memory of being there over the summers.

The best event in D.C., hands down, is the evening parade at the Marine post at 8th and I. It’s held every Friday during the summer, it’s free and you don’t need reservations. It is a very moving event.

Anniversary of the Marine Band itself, not the Marine Corps.
