Can someone give me ONE example of something run by liberals that 1. actually works, and 2. is not bleeding money? This is a serious question that only reads like sarcasm.

They’re usually also bleeding literally. Found that ironic in the article.

In the case of Detroit its not liberalism, its corruption. Cut off the gravy train to a truly liberal city and Detroit will look like a utopia.

Just down the road is the much smaller city of Ann Arbor and they take huge sums of taxpayer dollars for a city that size.

Facebook. Google. Apple. There are plenty of free-market examples. “Free market” being the key.

Liberals run Harvard University, University of Wisconsin - Madison, University of Michigan - Ann Arbor they actually work at corrupting individuals into a collective mindset and they are profitable in terms of getting their brainwashed alumni to give more and more and their endowments are mind altering. See they work.

detroit is worse and Kevyn Orr will not solve it. detroit will be the first city in Michigan to fold. Thanks to the demorats that ran it into the ground.

There’s some evidence that urban areas, particularly those populated during the industrial revolution are naturally liberal. I suspect that it’s the nature of dense living.

Rats become very antisocial at a limited density. Humans seem to as well and they demand more government to control their pesky neighbors. Hence, big cities, big government becomes a natural outgrowth.

Yet, cities construe great benefits of scale and so people move there. Zoning and building codes exacerbate the problem. What’s the geographical solution?
