I agree that we will not know until all eyes see His return. Until that day, only God will know - God has all 3 facets and I can't believe that two facets remain ignorant and unable to reside outside time to be aware of all that happens in the relatively tiny capsule we exist in. What purpose to keep the Son ignorant now that He resides as a reconnected facet with the Father and the Spirit? All that He said when He walked with us was absolute Truth - it was also Old Covenant Truth with a reassurance that Prophesy was being fulfilled through Him. The New Covenant did not begin until He arose and joined the Father - I personally believe it change more than our future. It's even possible that He became aware before He died. He was given full authority over Heaven and Earth (Matthew 28:18) before that event and yet He remained obedient instead of using the power of God to save Himself the pain. That makes His love for us even more awesome.
Interesting topic and I have thought similar thoughts as you. We do know from scripture that the Holy Spirit is mentioned in context of certain tasks / functions that it fulfills. Also Jesus many times distinguishes the Son from the Father. So Father, Son and Holy Spirit are separate persons and apparently have distinct roles. However the details of how the trinity works is beyond any of us. All we have is the scripture.
