And all these years I thought I was born in this country. Silly me. And no, Native-Americans are not the "first" Americans. They eradicated (can you say genocide?) the first Americans.

My first "native born" ancestor was born in 1653 at Rappahannock, Virginia. That was 360 years ago. Since his birth there have been 10 descendants down to my grandsons. While this does not compare to "Native Americans" claims of being on this continent for at least 10,000 years, I believe I have plenty of demonstrable evidence that I, my children, and my grandchildren are native to this land. Hey Obozo, FUBO!!!

“Unless you’re a Native American, you came from someplace else.”

I was born here so I am a native American . Is the white house espousing creationist philosophy ? Are they saying the Indians were created here?

The White House is doing way too many recreational drugs and playing too much golf. I was born in the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. Somewhere else my @$$. I didn’t sneak in across the Bering Straight “land bridge”.

It’s a stupid argument. A guy born to two Indians on a reservation is no less “from someplace else” than I am. I do not possess the physical molecules of my great grandparents, much less did I personally live anywhere other than here my entire life.

And the “Native Americans” came from Mongolia.

When my ancestors came here.. they fought for the North in the Civil War... they didn’t demand welfare.

This is deeply offensive. Putting both people who were born here and people who immigrated here LEGALLY in the same camp as illegals, set apart from Native Americans, is outrageous. ILLEGAL ALIENS ARE CRIMINALS!

They are here because they broke our laws, they insulted our nation. The people whose ancestors go back generations are here because they FOUGHT for this land, and defeated the Native Americans, and those who immigrated here legally are here because they FOLLOWED and RESPECTED the laws of those victors.

This admin makes me want to puke.

I was born in this country, of two parents who were American citizens. I can show you my original birth certificate. Unlike you, Mr. Mystery Man, I didn't come from "someplace else" and pretend I didn't.

The ancestors of "Native Americans" came from someplace else, as well. But we all (originally) climbed off from Noah's Ark.

That is a concept entirely too deep from somebody living large in the White Hut who earned his spurs smoking up the Choom Wagon.

when you buy land, or take it in war, it becomes your land.

white colonists were not the only oes that broke treaties.

Well, having been born here, I am a native American. My grandparents were all Jews from eastern Europe.

Obviously, if you were not born here, you’re from somewhere else.

So what is the point the WH is making?

No the so called “Native Americans” came from someplace else, too...

No lollypop for you...

The thing is, dumbo, your pet illegal aliens came from someplace else, uninvited, without prior permission...

in other words ILLEGALLY ...they broke the law and continue to break the law...

My forebears were invited by the owners of this land to come here...

First the Dutch, and then the English...

I have no illegal alien ancestors...

1623/4 My Huguenot/Walloons on the New Netherland to NYC had permission fron the Dutch crown to come here..

1630 My Suffolk family came to English colony, MASS with Gov Winthrop..

1645 My Dutch supercargo on a ship belonging to the Dutch West India Company had permission to stay and settle in the Dutch colony, New Netherland...(later New York after 1664)

1680 The English crown sent my refugee Huguenot family here to their colony, New York

1710 Queen Anne of England sent my Palatine German family among 3,000 to the Livinston Manor area, across from Albany in her English colony..

1720 My Catholic Irish family came here from Ulster to the east bank of the Hudson River below Renssalaer indentured to Livingston, who was a rich land owner with the privilige to have “guest workers”

and so on...

I havent found one ancestor who broke into the country...

and my few families to New Zealand from 1850 on are similarly accounted for...all legally English crown and or Church of England sent new settlers...

I came here AFTER jumping through every required hoop and satisfying the immigration laws...

My ancestors came to the front door and got permission to enter when there was a continent still to settle. That is considerably from sneaking in the back window and expecting to stay when the country is pretty full already.

Also just look at what the cultural impact of unlimited immigration was for the American Indians. Didn't work out so well for them.

I would think from where your 12th generation ancestors left to get here would hardly factor in whether or not one is a native of the United States of America.

I am so sick of the “we are all immigrants” brainwashing. We are NOT all immigrants and many of us can trace our American roots back many generations.
