MIAMI, FL Drugs, weapons, illegal aliens all are welcome under a new directive. There is an ongoing, emergency situation with the U.S. Coast Guard, which is now an agency under the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
By directive, starting last Monday, 29 April 2013 (barring emergency calls) Coast Guard District 7, which stretches from the Carolinas to Alabama to Florida, has been restricted from activity. There will be no enforcement patrols of large or small craft allowed in U.S. territorial seas, district-wide, according to a WDW confidential source.

priority shipment coming through, no one must interfere
Good that we got the word out early....I’ll try to hustle up all the mary-j-u-wanna possible and get it into port during the off-period.
They’re accelerating their destruction of the US military. By requiring the USCG to “stand down” from patrols, they are moving from a proactive role to a reactive role in our coastal waters.
I wouldn’t be surprised if the UN sea treaty doesn’t have something to do with this. Now the Ruskies and the Chicoms have free reign of our navigable waters. Lovely.
Someone please tell me, I missed seeing the Satire Tag!
Obama worked out a deal on his Mexico trip with the Mexican drug lords. His cut is 10%.
is this for real ?
“the U.S. Coast Guard, which is now an agency under the U.S. Department of Homeland Security...”
What?!
Not spending money on 'fuel'? Sequester cuts where they will hurt/damage America the most?
I’m surprised that the Coast Guard is not ordered to bring in Mexicans from Mexico.
This just can not be true. I will need a second source.
The U.S. Coast Guard is one of five branches of the US Armed Forces, and falls under the jurisdiction of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
Thats what it says on their website...
I guess that means the end of the show “Coast Guard Florida” on the Weather Channel. We can only watch “Coast Guard Alaska” until the same edict affects that CG district.
Along the coast of SoCal we have frequent landings of smugglers of people and drugs. There are very few patrols and the landings seem to get caught only when they damage their boats on landing. The boats probably cost 40-50k each and they keep coming in spite of losses.
Most of the smuggling attempt must be successful.
It is also likely that the captured boats are returned to their owners in Mexico because they are reported to be stolen.

Thank you, Captain Obvious...
Hey boss, you heard anything about this reported CF ?
need a bit more documenation....real names, real sources, etc.
Coast Guard has been under DHS for 10 years
If this is true, there has to be some American blood left in our military. They can follow orders or go public and demand accountability. Included in the people who are placed at risk are THEIR families. Their choice.
