**SNIP**
The short video played just before Perry took the stage to a welcome applause from the crowd. It shows Perry taking aim at an egg from about 100 yards out with a LaRue Tactical rifle, which is made by a company that recently opened up shop in Texas. The video then shows Perry hitting metal targets like a marksman.
The video got quite a reaction online, and not all of it was good. The responses on Twitter ranged from folks saying Perrys video did nothing but promote and excite the already gun-thirsty and violent society to others saying I love Rick Perry! He should be President...great guy.

LaRue has been around since 1995. Not exactly recent.

I’m sure these same people are screaming about rap videos and Hollywood movies and TV shows with indiscrimate gun shootings.

RE: the picture of 0 shooting. I will never understand how a ported barrel discharges from one side when ports are clearly visible on the left. Could the fake have generated another fake?

I was thinking that’s some pretty good timing to get the shot with smoke coming out the vent port, and before he dropped the weapon from recoil shock...

I’ve felt there was something odd about that picture all along. It’s one redeeming detail is the weapon and the fingers of the forward hand seem to be blurred from horizontal movement at instant of exposure. That being said, the smoke just looks wrong. I’m not a shotgunner but I didn’t think a shotgun produced that much smoke.

LaRue may not be an old company but they are certainly one of the best (products and service) and Mark LaRue is a Patriot who walks the walk. His rifles have won the International Sniper Competition held annually in Fort Benning, Ga.

before he dropped the weapon from recoil shock... and ran away crying . . .
To: mcshot
I could be wrong, but I think it’s a double barrel shotgun, with the top barrel ported through the top & the bottom barrel has ports on both sides. I looks like a Browning Citori so you could probably find the specs online

Go poke around on the firearms message boards. There is a lot wrong with the picture and many/most of the gun guys think it is “shopped”; at a minimum, totally staged as in he was not shooting trap nor skeet.
