BENGHAZI: Names of ‘whistleblower’ witnesses revealed
FOX News ^ | May 4, 2013 | by James Rosen, Chad Pergram

Posted on 05/04/2013 7:30:19 AM PDT by Oldeconomybuyer

Their identities have been a well-guarded secret, known only to their high-powered lawyers and a handful of House lawmakers and staff. But now Fox News has learned the names of the self-described Benghazi “whistleblowers” who are set to testify before a widely anticipated congressional hearing on Wednesday.

Appearing before the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee will be three career State Department officials: Gregory N. Hicks, the deputy chief of mission at the U.S. Embassy in Libya at the time of the Benghazi terrorist attacks; Mark I. Thompson, a former Marine and now the deputy coordinator for Operations in the agency’s Counterterrorism Bureau; and Eric Nordstrom, a diplomatic security officer who was the regional security officer in Libya, the top security officer in the country in the months leading up to the attacks.

“O did characterize the 9/11/’13 Benghazi...”

Isn’t that 9/11/’12 or is the WPE in the WH going to miss yet another “...bump in the road.”?

The “Taliban in the building” statement came in questioning. It’s not foreshadowed AT ALL in his prepared statement.

Jay Carney - Benghazi is an old story. He might want to take back those comments after these heavyweight whistleblowers gonna call Hitlery and Oblama to the carpet for their downright lies and abandonment in the face of islamic militants.

Osama bin Laden is dead and Al Qaeda is on the run...right.

The two whistleblowers the deputy chief and the top security agent in Libya will have a lot to say both about the denial of secuirty increases in the face of onslaught against western presence in Benghazi as well as the “stand down order” to let their comrades die.

“Then there will be other young girls at risk when leaving or going to school or perhaps skiing”

Or climbing up volcanoes in Hawaii with a seemingly wonderful guy they just met.

Okay, how many people were punished in the wake of Fast and Furious? We had documents and whistleblowers, etc. and what happened?

You say defeatist, I say realist. I wish something would happen, I really do. But things have a way of going nowhere when a Democrat politician is involved. If someone other than a low-level flunky get their wrist slapped, I’ll be pleasantly surprised.

I think they are in addition to the three listed here. We will find out on Monday if there are any others because of a 72 hour rule about witnesses.

Fricking Democrats have 72 hours to dig dirt to obfuscate the hearings but we can’t even get 72 seconds before they pass a bill that nobody has read.

A Pox on all of their houses.

BTW, I am not real comfortable with Issa because of the way he has let the F&F scandal get swept under the rug.

Why worry about Huma having a security clearance when her boss and her boss’s boss are national security risks?

yeah I’m thinking chaffetz is not going to play by the rules that the dems expect.

He’ll do what they would do. He’ll trick them, mislead them, and surprise them.

I am hoping for a good time.

If these 3 really are the ones showing up - it’s likely that they are not everyone... or SOMETHING will surprise the lib America haters.

You are right. Might be a good Sunday (if you can stomach it) to watch the other two morning shows — you know, just to see who they bring on and initial talking points.

Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty’s careers are over. Not getting a promotion seems a small sacrifice.

Because you have seen a pattern of nothing happening aside from dead end hearings (Fast and Furious anyone?).

Watching these hearings put me on a slow burn. The Republicans ask questions, get misleading non-answers, then fail to follow-up with questions to pin them down. It's like watching your average ungifted Sean Hannity interview.

Here's a scenario:

Q: "Did the white House refuse to allow you counsel?"
A: "No."

The problem was never being allowed counsel, and everybody on the committee knows it. The problem is the counsel they have isn't permitted to see the evidence, because it's classified and the White Hut won't read the attorneys in. That's the correct question to ask the witness ("Is your counsel permitted to see what you have?"), but a congressman will only ask questions that let Obastard off the hook. IOW, they won't engage him in battle. It's infuriating.
