Skip to comments.BENGHAZI: Names of ‘whistleblower’ witnesses revealed
Posted on 05/04/2013 7:30:19 AM PDT by Oldeconomybuyer
Their identities have been a well-guarded secret, known only to their high-powered lawyers and a handful of House lawmakers and staff. But now Fox News has learned the names of the self-described Benghazi whistleblowers who are set to testify before a widely anticipated congressional hearing on Wednesday.
Appearing before the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee will be three career State Department officials: Gregory N. Hicks, the deputy chief of mission at the U.S. Embassy in Libya at the time of the Benghazi terrorist attacks; Mark I. Thompson, a former Marine and now the deputy coordinator for Operations in the agencys Counterterrorism Bureau; and Eric Nordstrom, a diplomatic security officer who was the regional security officer in Libya, the top security officer in the country in the months leading up to the attacks.

Beat me to it. Hooah!
I saw this a few hours ago on F&F and was checking in to see if it was here. Finally went to get the info myself and post it.
This must be televised so the LIVs can assimilate it.
If a tree falls in the forest and no one is there to hear it, it does not make a sound!
I heard one on the Bill Bennett show on Thursday come out and call Hillary Clinton a liar on live air.
Hope all three are wired, their phones tapped and they have plenty of security. There WILL be pressure applied
Politically, I have battered wife syndrome.
There's no smoking gun here. I'm not concerned.
It’s frightening .They’re taking career people and making them well aware that their careers will be over.
Good place to start for a Senate special committee Benghazigate hearings.
The Dear Leader is counting on defeatrist attitudes to assure his glorious reign.
It was televised on Fox and Friends this morning as a Breaking News item. The financial guys have been on for almost an hour now so we will be seeing more as the day progresses.
Jamie Colby is reporting it right now on the newsbreak.
They will be labeled right wingers who have an agenda and voted in the past for Republucans.
The coverup needs to be exposed.
But, since it happened a long time ago (thanks jay) and hildebeast seems to think it doesn’t make any difference now it’ll not cause any one of these asshats much trouble. And they said Reagan was teflon? They must have come up with something with more lubricity than Slick 50.
The Senate is also the enemy. How about a grand jury?
Thank you for the ping.
I’m wondering now how many of them will die in accidents, etc.
I figured Nordstrom was one of the whistleblowers. He was fit to be tied over this.
Killing the whistleblower would be too obvious, times two. The whistleblower’s daughter getting T-boned on the passenger side by a hit-and-run driver, that gets the message across.
The Dems will throw El Bozo under the bus before they’ll let this touch the lying Hillary. She’s their candidate in 2016 and they’ll defend her to the hilt, no matter that she stood at Andrews AFB in front of those four caskets and lied her a** off about a video causing those men to die. They called for help for hours, and she and The Worst President let them die because it didn’t fit his campaign talking points. Too shameful for words.
How you holding up?
I still want to hear from the people who were inside the house.
His testimony of 10/10/12 (link above) reads like boilerplate. Has he recently been more forthcoming?
I’ve been better. Still here though.
Same here. Hope he has a lot more information and the documentation to support it. Thus far his public statements don’t seem very ............!
But this administration is all but subtle. They are patently and garishly obvious in their intent and actions; and the American Media en masse lets them, hell! HELPS THEM, get away with it.
There is no need to try and silence them through threats - they'll just kill them in one way or another.
The so called gun smoke people are alledging is actually water vapor resulting from temperature change when the gun was removed from a freezer.
The gun was never fired /s
Are they trying to get these guys killed over the weekend?
O did characterize the 9/11/'13 Benghazi terrorist attack as a 'bump in the road'. Can you imagine Bush making such a callused remark? The liberal MSM would have gone ballistic. The anointed one gets a pass ... complete silence.
Because you have seen a pattern of nothing happening aside from dead end hearings (Fast and Furious anyone?).
Wake me when someone is actually hauled away in handcuffs and sent to federal prison.
Then there will be other young girls at risk when leaving or going to school or perhaps skiing
If a tree falls in the forest and no one is there to hear it, it does not make a sound!
If a Low Information Voter gets information, does it get assimilated? :)
See my tagline since last year re: Eric Nordstrom
Gregory N. Hicks, the deputy chief of mission at the U.S. Embassy in Libya at the time of the Benghazi terrorist attacks;
Mark I. Thompson, a former Marine and now the deputy coordinator for Operations in the agencys Counterterrorism Bureau; and
Eric Nordstrom, a diplomatic security officer who was the regional security officer in Libya, the top security officer in the country in the months leading up to the attacks.
Wonder which one is Toensing's client?
Washington D.C. is an evil place.. voters are like a rat in a maze...
I’m sure I heard Toensing say that her husband is also representing a whistleblower.
I don’t think we are going to hear anything new. Just repackaged. None of these people were on the ground in Benghazi when the event happened. None of them will dare address what was really being done at the Mission and the Annex.
We still don’t know the names of the people on the ground...not even the non-CIA people.
Thanks for that reminder:
"The Taliban is on the inside of the building" E. Nordstrom 10-10-12)
Former Department of State Libyan Regional Security Officer Eric Nordstrom told a House committee that his request for additional security at the U.S. Embassy in Libya, made prior to the attack that claimed the lives of U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans, was denied.
He recalled telling Bureau of Diplomatic Security Regional Director Jim Bacigalupo that he felt the Taliban was on the inside of the building.
Actually had that conversation when I came back on leave, and for training in February, and I was told by the regional director for Near Eastern affairs that there had only been one incident involving an American, where he was struck by celebratory fire. It was one of Colonel Woods employees, Nordstrom told the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee on Wednesday.
The takeaway from that for me and my staff: It was abundantly clear we were not going to get resources until the aftermath of an incident. And the question that we would ask is, again, how thin does the ice have to get before someone falls through?
Former State Department Site Security Team Commander Lieutenant Colonel Andrew Wood said we were fighting a losing battle, adding that his team couldnt even keep what [the security] we had. We were not even allowed to keep what we had.
I told the same regional director in a telephone call in Benghazi after he contacted me when I asked for 12 agents, Nordstrom said. His response to that was, youre asking for the sun, moon and the stars and my response to him his names Jim I said, Jim, you know what makes most frustrating about this assignment? Its not the hardships, its not the gunfire, its not the threats, Nordstrom said. Its dealing and fighting against the people, programs and personnel who are supposed to be supporting me, and I added it by saying, For me, the Taliban is on the inside of the building.
Thanks for posting. BTTT!
I would simply says this.
My career may be over, but so is yours, Mr. pResident.
He is, but we don’t know if that WB is from the State Dept.
Unless Nordstrom has learned something new since his previous testimony, he doesn’t seem like a whistleblower to me. Here’s his conclusion, in his statement October 10, 2012 :
Im confident that the committee will conclude that Department of State, Diplomatic Security Service, and Mission Libya officers conducted themselves professionally and with careful attention to managing people and budgets in a way that reflects the gravity of their task. Im proud of the work that our team accomplished in Libya under extraordinarily difficult circumstances.
