Your point is well taken. However, the USGovt has more than 600K available for gun confiscation schemes.

There are around 500,000 soldiers in the US National Guard.

With more than 200,000 employees, DHS is the third largest Cabinet department

Thanks for the corrected numbers, Cheerio. I think we can still see how badly the federals are outnumbered by the people.

If only one in ten citizens held their ground during a worst case scenario, that would still be a force of 10,000,000. That's five to one odds, which aren't good for the federals.

Let us also not forget that US forces would be asked to turn their guns on their own kin and countrymen. I'm guessing that at least two thirds would mutiny, which would leave the federals in a position to do little more than surrender.

As I've said before, I know this has been war gamed out many times, and the answer has always been the same. The government does not have the physical might to overpower the people. This is why the Commies are continually pushing to disarm us. We cannot be overcome by force unless they do so.

That’s the only way he can gain complete PEOPLE control. The Founding Fathers made it clear that the 2nd was NOT just for hunting and recreation, or even personal protection, per se.

They intended the 2nd as the means for the citizenry to defend themselves from an overreaching dictatorial power-grabbing government. They had just fought a WAR to gain THEIR freedom from one of those governments. Those very wise men knew that it could happen again. And here it is.
