ONLY 29%???
I’d bet the numbers are a lot higher but people don’t openly discuss or advocate for armed revolution.
>30% is pretty impressive.
I prefer peaceful secession, but that’s a pipe dream, probably.
29% is enough to get things started.
Careful, the police down in Palm Beach, FL are watching. :)
I’m amazed. Enough people are paying attention that it’s 29% so far? That’s more than supported the American Revolution, if I recall correctly.
A few more high-profile abuses of the electorate by the 0bambi Administration, and we could have one. Not saying it would be good, nice or pretty, but slavery to the government is one thing I won’t abide.
Thomas Jefferson.
Some people actually think that the noble experiment of proportional democracy has failed! What a shock! Some people actually think that government has become all powerful and overpowering! What a shock! Some people see the president usurping more and more powers that are not allocated in the Constitution! What a shock! Some people do not trust their government that lies to them about embassy attacks and terrorist attacks! What a shock!
Some people are not happy that their government is stocking up on heavy arms. What a shock! Some people see the rate of taxation become more and more confiscatory! What a shock!
I really think this poll was designed to show that Republicans are dangerous and “on the edge.”
Obama will have a Reichstag momement blamed on the right (like he attempted to blame the Boston Bombers) and will use sentiment like this to impose martial law.
Be careful what you say.
Don’t over-react.
Big Sis will love this and move up her Armed Revolution
“The Revolution was effected long before the war commenced.
The Revolution occurred in the minds and hearts of the people...
This radical change in the principles, opinions, sentiments,
and affections of the people was the real American Revolution.”
~John Adams in 1818
Next few years? Define few. More like in the next few months the way things are going........
It’s probably the only way to remind the big government political class .... Republican and Democrat both .... about who works for who and the limits imposed by the constitution.
Which is the plan. The state will continue to provoke and prod and push, all with the intention of waiting for someone, or some group, somewhere to take up arms or actually resist government tyranny.
At that point, all the decades of preparing people with messages about racist right-wing extremists will bear fruit. The hammer will come down, with the gleeful support of those who believe that Christians, white males, and constitutionalists want to keep women pregnant and blacks enslaved.
In this regard, Ayn Rand is brilliant (and yes, yes, yes, in many regards she was a loon... so don’t flame me). Rand understood how to really fight the omnipresent state. Just stop being productive. The structure falls apart. If they want a population of slaves, become a sullen, unproductive one who undermines the system.
They want a fight. Don’t give them what they want.
Let them take a section of the country (that wants them) and create their Marxist/Socialist workers paradise/utopia there. Just be sure to erect a wall between them and us so as to prevent some of them attempting to escape their "utopia" a few years after discovering what a hellhole their Marxist/Socialist ideas created.
Histroy shows a nations electoral process can only be as free and fair as its press.
We no longer have free and fair elections.
29% is pretty high considering most people are asleep or drinking Kool-Aid.
When the poll stats are studied, I’ll bet folks think it’s mostly red-necks that think this way. Red necks do think they’re getting screwed, but it’s my take that it’s the folks who receive what is taken from them, who think they’re mistreated more.
