That famous golden spike takes on a whole new meaning with the nearly 1 billion dollar rail to nowhere contract that clocks in at a truly golden 35 million dollars per mile. And its recipient, Mr. Diane Feinstein owner of Tutor Perini, just happens to sit in a warm position near the top of the states political heap
Nothing new here. She has been loading up at the government trough for years.
California is a community property state. Fineswine owns half of every penny he makes. Fineswine also made a lot of money by steering Iraq war contracts to her husband. Most people in California think that she is the “nice” senator and Boxer is the shrew. I can’t decide which one I despise more.
DiFi was never decent, she was always an opportunist looking to line her purse, and keep her husband in business. Always pulled shady deals, from back in her city supervisor days having proxies do property deals.
There was a report recently that the Rail Authority changed the bidding process from one in which the technical quality and expertise behind each proposal would be considered along with the amount of the bid to one in which just the amount of the bid would be considered. Now, if it is true that the Rail Authority changed the basis upon which it would evaluate bids, I wonder if political pressure from DiFi had anything to do with it?
I’ll do it for half that!
Well you don’t expect them to pay her directly. Just because he has become a Billionaire since she got to the Senate is no reason to suspect corruption.
Pray for America to Wake Up
Just long enough to contain them so we can slip the noose around their necks.
Friggin bastards, the whole lot.
“Guess who owned that parking structure?”
Bet it is the same person who has the contract on keeping the VA hospitals looking like its still the 40’s.
Diane Feinstein, AKA ‘Venal Tyrant’. When she’s not trying to destroy the 2nd Amendment she bellies up to the trough. I have more respect for a pole dancing stripper. (’Treasure Chest.’)
One man's Golden Spike is another taxpayer's Golden Screw.

“And the people of the Central Valley where the first section runs dont want it.”
That’s not true. Originally the alignment for the HSR was supposed to follow Interstate 5 along the western edge of the San Joaquin Valley and then the various Valley constituencies started bitching that they were being left out. So HSR got realigned to include the cities along State Route 99 and that act has dramatically increased the cost and increased the travel time between San Francisco and LA.
If these people REALLY don’t want it then they need to say something NOW because it’s still not too late to let the French build the thing *at their cost* along the originally planned route.
“These two just cant leach enough from the California taxpayers!”
Tricky Dicky Blum (AKA Mr. Fineswine) through one of “his other firms” CB Richard Ellis, has an exclusive RE deal to sell off “surplus” post office owned buildings. 6% of hundereds of millions of dollars in “surplus property.” I just wished that DiFi had been in Mayor Moscone’s office when Dan White paid his infamous “visit.”
You mean “our” Diane Goldman, Berman Fineswine was once decent? Surely you jest.
Nepotism and insider trading should be illegal for ALL members of Congress and federal employees.
Others have said I was mistaken about her earlier years.
Maybe I was just more naive in my younger days?
Well, it’s a good thing for him his wife’s a DEMOCRAT governmental leader and not a member of the GOP. Otherwise he’d be eligible for investigation, and probably be convicted of insider trading, fraud, just to start.
